He deciphers your Engrams (Decoherent (Rare), Legendary, Exotic, etc.) Leveling him up increases the chance of finding higher tiered weapons or gear from them. Try to get as many Engrams as you can! Each deciphered Engram increases it's level. With each increased level, Cryptarch sends a package to [b]Postmaster[/b] and it offers a handful of engrams. In case you need to know which increases experience in what quantities, here is a table. [b]Common[/b]: +5 [b]Uncommon[/b] +15 [b]Decoherent[/b]: +150 [b]Legendary[/b]: +200 [b]Exotic[/b]: +500 (Credit to MysticMeatShield for Exotic decoders.)
