The arm band aesthetic is almost non existent. What the titans and hunters have you could see from a mile away yet the armband you have to be right next to the the player. If anything it should have been a shoulder piece or a full quarter sleeve. In regards to armor, the whole coat thing i think should be shorter (like the coat at start). At least more armor in the upper torso area. I remember hearing that the armor / cloth ratio for warlocks is suppose to be 20/80, but honestly it's just the helmet and shoulder pad. I remember in a video when BUNGIE was showing off the classes, the BUNGIE affiliate mentioned that the warlock has the coolest looking armor... I have yet to see this.
Think, for instance Seal of the Twin Eagle or Spirit of the Vulture, would have looked awesome as a shoulder piece, or at least right under the shoulder pad and just BIGGER.
If they are to keep the Arm Bands. All I can think is that the holographic visual and light components should project over the upper arm and really GLOW, Something similar to the muzzle piece of the Stranger's Rifle.

Especially the holographic arm bands. It would be awesome to have a holographic sick design the length of the arm. But alas we get a very tiny lame band.
