How to get the most out of Radiance?

So I just unlocked Sunsinger, and I've been leveling it up and messing around with the talents. I'm not sold on Radiance, I thought maybe it would give us a damage boost to weapons or something. How have you guys been using Radiance? I really want to appreciate the subclass, but right now I don't think I understand it. Thank you

Here how I look at it/play Sunslinger: When a hunter activates golden gun, all the power is in the weapon. When a warlock activates radiance, all the power is with you and your abilities. I play it like this: just dive into groups, melee and grenade (you can throw like 4 during the whole duration (without the longer lasting effect) which you should utilize to the MAX), take mad hits because you can, your defenses get boosted somewhat (because i def cant take cabal punches to the face like i can when radient), and dip toward the end of the effect for quick health recovery. When you get the radiance passive where it resets cooldown for your teammates, you are the best fried to everyone, and then when they use their supers, you get the orbs, and BAM another radiance. It makes your team have the ability to burst HARD with supers. (I am rolling with my Titan and Hunter friends. Mixed team = survivability.). ALSO, and this is where I currently am in the tree (not that far by my opinion), when you get the melee passive that gives you a shield when you hit people, it seriously gives you an overshield to reduce incoming damage AFTER instantly bringing you up fully. That with the radiance and granades makes you godly, literally throwing suns at will, like reverse mini nova bombs. Eventually you can get 2 granades, so that means a possible 8 (maybe?) to throw during the effect. More if u have high discipline. Golden gun = weapon ability beastly Radiance = player abilities (defence, recovery, grenades, and melee) are beastly and have super minimal cooldown. Edit: this is a copy from what told someone earlier, and has worked out really well for them and myself.
