I think #1 is better defined as individuals who follow Jesus, those who have been truly born of God. Their regeneration is marked by being transformed into a new creation, one who is filled with the Holy Sprit of God and by this Spirit, united with God and given the strength to honor and glorify Him. A Christian is called to be a light in a dark world---to be the body of Christ, the Son of God, the Savior of mankind. Christian is simply defined as: Christ Like, one who looks, acts Like Christ. It's not easy, we all fall short, but we all have the Holy Spirit to help us grow more and more like Jesus our Lord and we must be one in Christ, working together and fighting together, the good fight until the end.
