My question also? I have no idea and its funny that no one here knows? Or is so evident that no one bothers to answer.

my question as well, really annoying that no one will answer since i see clans with 100's members around. I have a clan i made for my friends at 6 "group" members including myself, but apperently I'm the only "clan" member and i cant promote them to my clan and they can't ask to join...this is really really annyoing. we just want our damn achievements.

You just create and recruit members at bungie.com just put on a forum your clan name and people can search for it on the website.

i finally found my answer "There is no way that you can designate your group member as a clan member. In order for the user to become a clan member, he/she must visit your group's page and select either "Set as Playstation Clan" or "Set as Xbox Clan". It's important to note that the user must have already played Destiny on the platform for which he/she wants to join the clan in order to be granted membership on the clan roster."
