Ridiculous lag in the crucible matches
First of all let me start by saying it's probably not on my end, I don't have the best internet but I get pretty good speeds, and I play other games just fine. I am either experiencing terrible lag, or the hit detection is way off, all this started in the beta, I took all in stride, thinking well it's only a beta and this is the exact reason for the beta, to stress test their servers and iron out the kinks. But no, I am actually experiencing worse lag than with the beta, poor hit detection, it takes at least 5 headshots to kill anyone with the Scout rifles, the pulse rifles and hand cannons are all but useless for me, and the only usable weapon is the auto rifle, and I use over half a magazine to kill one person. Bungie what's going on? The crucible is all but unplayable. Is any body else experiencing this, or is it just me?

I don't experience it that often. But tonight it was really bad and idk why.

Ya the lag is very real, can make matches suck so much. I dont get why there is no filter options for matches, based on connection or level or even grimore.

Just had this happen not even 5mins ago. I absolutely hate it and from now on if I see bad connection I'm leaving the match, If your internet sucks balls DONT BE ONLINE. Pisses my husband and I off so bad when we have a lag/lag switcher in the game.

You really need a middle option for this. I experienced it to begin with, but I found out that my tablet was using my phone data to do all my updates. Destiny refuses to work properly through our satellite Internet, so I have to use my phone instead. I do still see lag periodically, but not like that first hour or so

1 ReplyI picked up Hardline and it runs dedicated servers. The game is mediocre, but it was a quick reminder of how good PvP is supposed to run.

1 ReplyI recently changed internet providers and dropped from a 40MB 70 ping connection to a 6MB 240 ping connection What I've certainly noticed is that I'm red barring a lot more and the matches are a disgrace, but that's my fault. I've also been getting baboon codes when kicked to orbit. I'd only been kicked to orbit about 10 times since release and that was mostly over Christmas when PSN was down. But this has happened more in the last week on my crappy connection I'll be renewing my previous contract within the month lol

I never ever thought i ll be saying this..COD has better connection than Destiny..learn from treyarch and put regional matchmaking..i am in aus and i dont wanna play with ppl from usa or europe..ffs bungie give us the update that we really need

1 ReplyIf I remember right, I believe that the game doesn't use dedicated servers for crucible. Instead it finds one host and uses their Internet as the connection. This works for really everything. That's why if the host has a red connection, so does everyone else in crucible for the most part
