Heres my take. Compare this game (Destiny) to bungies most recent previous game (Halo Reach) and I think you'll find Destiny lacking. In reach you have many multiplayer game types, At least as much if not more campaign, The ability to create maps and game variants, A large pallette of objects, and firefight. Destinys world is very small compared. When the servers go off, crash, have maintenance, it doesnt even exist. Is this game worth as much if not more that Reach. Not in my opinion. Reach never stopped me cold from ranking up. Destiny and her developers love to try. If your an activision fan just look at their products. Pick your favorite. You'll still find things like prestiege and more than 50 levels of character development along with varied weapons. Destiny just doesnt feel finished and very restricted. If you dont believe me go download your free copy of Reach from xbox live gold on 360 and play the difference. Its pretty obvious. I'm a huge halo fan from back when california lan was around and we had lan tournaments. So it disappoints me to say after 4+ days of play time I find Destiny severly lacking and I think I might be done with it while I can still get good money for my copy. If this is the future of gaming I may not want to be part of it any more. They shut down the server your game isnt worth the plastic or magnetized bits it was recorded too. One last parting note. It feels as a consumer that bungie is always trying to take away from the player in this game. A specific example is that the queens armor is legendary. If she gives me something I already have and I dismantle hers bungie has now made it that I get no ascendant materials. Very sad indeed that they will do anything to keep the player from getting loot engrams armor. Thanks again for the cryptarch at level 16+ that still pays out 60% of the time in rare or uncommon on legendary engrams.

The game is -blam!-ing brilliant. Level up do the raid. Attempt the nightfall strike. You have to put the hours into it.

I agree with you on the multiplayer...constant crappy radar uav is really lackluster and the multiplayer is very basic...no killstreaks or perks outside of your characters weapon benefits makes this really dumb...they should only show your enemies position when he fires or give uav advantages/disadvantages. Every multiplayer has done that...why they tried to follow suit like Halo was ridiculous, yet they try to take certain mechanics from COD...very unimpressed....however, I do think the campaign parts are decent, although I do see why many are calling it repetitive. This game has some great elements but rather poor character multiplayer...they should have made it so you could make your bikes and ships more of an integral part of the campaign and character, instead of basically just for show...should have countered radar and armor in multiplayer should have been outright avoided (except for strike and group missions)...otherwise you just have a bunch of people running up to each other right away and seeing who gets killed first...really dumb move bungie. I love the exotic and legendary weapons, however, and think that is one of the more established RPG-style aspects of the game. The customizing of armor and shading could use ALOT more work, though....would give this game a 3.5 out of 5, although they could definitely patch some of this...this is coming from a level +23 warlock who has experience in the game...please fix some of the issues and I think alot less people would be complaining...just saying

This game is a major disappointment. Defiance is 1,000 times the game Destiny is, hands down. No engaging characters or plot and only 3 or 4 gliched out multiplayer maps. I knifed a guy 10 times while he stood still and have gotten disconnected from the game right before the end of missions where I have to do them all over again. Wow. You're lucky if you even see anyone else outside of the tower. Feels like a severely lacking single player game with one or two friends along for the ride. Public events are sparse and all too infrequent and no one else is usually around. Couldn't get more boring. The spawn of enemies is literally every 10 seconds in the same exact place going along the same exact pre determined spawn path. Feels so artificial, and a game should immerse you. If Defiance had Bungie's name on it all of you would be rightfully giving it the praise it deserves. Sad.

Have to say I'm disappointed as well . I love the shooter mmorpg attempt but didn't even wet my whistle . Level 20 titan in 2 days lmao and the story sucks so far like 7 cut scenes with no epic characters , this from the makers of halo the lack of campaign type story telling is heart breaking , I don't feel like a hero who am I saving a huge city I can't even go into , I don't see the people , I have no friends or fellow soldiers one weird robot girl who appears for 10 minutes and never see again . All I see are guardians what are we leppers or just snobs . There is just to little to do if you want to make it a expansion type game not enough strikes , or 1 heroic mission a day lmao lame , weak sauce should have been able to be the fallen , the vex and the cabal as races at least in pvp to make hours of doing the same thing a little less mundane .

I once played a game I thought sucked. It never occurred to me to go to a forum and type up several paragraphs about it. I just stopped playing and moved on to another game.

Go play Wildstar then come back and talk about disappointment. Noob
