I haven't tried VR myself but it seems it works best when you are sat in a cockpit or stood still. It just feels a little too complex for this stage of VR. I'd like it. But to be immersive you'd need one of this treadmill type things (not an actual treadmill but some gaming device designed to be used with VR) in the room... I dunno. I guess yes but it won't be as immersive as a racing game.

I agree with all you've said. Check out some YT vids of the occulus and the omni in action together. No motors. Then hit me back.

The omni looks damn good. I'd love to have one in my gaming room. Unfortunately I don't have one yet and fitting it into my living room won't work. For me and many others, the omni wouldn't be a viable option. That's by no means a bad thing, I would much rather there be a quality product available to some, than have another, lesser, mass produced product. It's just personal limitation that holds me back from having an omni device in my home. I'm sure that isn't the case for everyone. I'd still have an Oculus/Morpheus. I would love to see these VR combos in arcades, I think it would really work well there. I still want VR at home but I just don't think it will be reasonable to have an omni type machine just yet. I'm so excited to have VR finally come around. The fact that we are going to see good level VR this gen is amazing and I can't wait for the day that I can put my headset on and take that level of emersion one step further. Most of us won't get to actually walk on the moon but we but we would be able to get a taste in Destiny and using the omni. If like to think that will be possible within the next 5 years.
