What I'm learning about is so interesting. Basically, a large portion of game companies break the basic rules of making a good game, which brings me to Halo 4 and 343i...
They did things very, very wrong. This textbook I'm reading explicitly states:
DO NOT MAKE A GAME THAT FOLLOW THE MARKET TREND; IT WILL NOT BE SUCCESSFUL
A bunch of other small stuff, but the good news is that the newer Halo games are following what I've read very well.

Edited by BannedLemön: 9/5/2014 3:18:32 AMYou should try new things. You can never know until you try. That's what 343 did with Halo 4. They tried new things, but they didn't work out. Now they can focus on improving things and remove the stuff that didn't work out to provide an overall better game.
