This makes sense but common game design logic tells that this evidence is only circumstantial. I doubt many people would fight i they knew they where just mindless Zombies being controlled by ghosts. (Although that does open up a cool concept which is that we the gamer's control the future Ghosts infecting the guardians)

If people refused to fight, that means the have some form I brain power and thought process, you then went on to state that they are [b]mindless[/b] zombies.
