I bought a white PS4 BUNDURU, a new headset (50% off) and a new TV is being mailed to me as we speak. You could say I spent about 1,030ish on Destiny. I'll break it down though.
TV: My other TV is over 7 years old and has discoloring cause it's old tech flat screen.
PS4: I haven't used a console since my 3rd 360 broke a few years ago.
Sure, I spent over 1,000$ on "Destiny", but I also have set up a sweet gaming rig for the next 5+ years. I'm totally happy. :)

-
40" Sony Bravia LED. I wanted plasma, but it seems like plasma is dying.
-
Plasmas get screen burned easy to
-
Is there a remedy for screen burns, like running a white screen all day or something?
-
Eh, not the newer ones. I think plasma is just dying simply cause of the glare issue and the fact that LED can be sold for a -blam!- ton more. Plasma was too easy and cheap to make and doesn't cost as much as LED. If you only provide LED, then you'll make more money. That's my take-away from my experience of shopping for a new TV.
-
Agreed. Love my vizio because of the quality which I doubt plasma generates
-
What? Plasma quality still beats LED in certain aspects. (refresh rate, rich blacks, maybe motion blur) The only LED that win hands down are the stupidly expensive ones and i'm not trying to buy a 2.5k$ TV.
-
Not true. I purchased a 46 inch Samsung lcd led about 6 years ago for $1300, and this tv hold its own against most tv's today. It's 3,000,000:1 contrast ratio, 240 refresh rate.Great picture.
-
Eh, most refresh rates are inflated, it's usually half. (likely your refresh is really 120) Also, my biggest stats to be aware of is input lag and motion blur. These are the stats that have the biggest impact on game play. I'm not saying there aren't good, quality LED out there, but plasma is definitely more affordable when it comes to good gaming qualities. The LED TVs with high gaming performance are mostly stupid expensive and still just about equal to plasma TVs as far as functionality. I just can't find plasma, so I went with LED.

Just personal preference. I dont like plasma screens
