Peoples, I'm going to update the original post intermittently with build updates and a change log as and when I get the chance to work on it. Some quick feedback today was to include crosshairs and Background Music. These are easy features to add so Ive done so. Other features will be slower to implement, but bear with me :D Please re-download if you like. Also attached is my High Score as of today B-) Of course I'm cheating somewhat because I know exactly where all the health and weapon spawn points are. You can easily upload screenshots to imgur.com [i]Beat that![/i]

  • Haha, top job my man! I'll tell you a secret, the current maximum number of Wednesdays is 200, from 35 at start. It increases at a rate of +1 per 5 seconds. You may well have hit the Wednesday ceiling. I apologise too that I'm sure you found the weapon boxes dont always display the correct icon. This is a bug I'm puzzled by, but am looking into. I hear by concede defeat to the date system because I'd get my ass handed to me with hand cannons - and we cant make private matches in Destiny so ... But don't tell me you're rocking a monitor with a 4:3 aspect ratio? I must correct my UI elements to accommodate this stone age technology!

  • So you are theoretically saying that with good luck, I could theoretically go on forever if I was managing this mob at maximum capacity? I'd have to have been going for precisely 13 minutes and 45 seconds in a single round to reach the cap! I'll have to time my next roflstomp to see if I'm actually doing that. I highly doubt that is the case. The boxes are probably respawning right on top of the last one you pick up, so you end up picking up the next one as well. Your timing for respawns may need to be adjusted to be based on when the item gets picked up rather than something arbritrary running in the background. As for the aspect ratio, I don't know what was going on myself. It's just a 15" Macbook Pro (it's definitely not 4:3) and I took a screenshot with Command+Shift+3.

    To go behind the scenes, there's currently a variable that identifies if the spawn point is full, and as you say, a countdown of like 15 seconds to spawn a new item. I was being a bit too smart for my own good since I have it randomly spawning in any spawn point as long as the timer reaches zero + the spawn point is empty + there's less than 4 pickups on stage. I was making it scalable so I could make a huge level with like 50 potential spawn points. I need to examine my code to see what exactly is going wrong. I might just put a cooldown on the spawn point so it doesn't respawn immediately. Good feedback from you, cheers! I'm curious about the resolution though, did you select the maximum (native) res on the splash screen before it opens? Was it running stretched, or with boarders? I'm gonna see if I can replicate this when I get home from work... I just checked your screenie was 1024x768, I might just disable 4:3 resolutions in the options. If it's running crap, make sure the quality isn't set to "fantastic" I've noticed screen tearing with options less than "good" and my little 2011 MBA runs slow at "fantastic"! again ... might disable these options too:D If you want, I'll make you a build with a hardcore mode that dumps all 200 Wednesdays on screen from the get go. :P Humorously When I first implemented it, it borked and Wednesdays spawned infinitely every single frame. It crippled my Mac...
