I like the idea. Another thing you could do is maybe have clans against themselves like Custom games, one group of clannies versus another group. It'd serve as practice or maybe help find out a set of teammates to represent you if you're competitive. Edit: Here's an idea. 2 teams. One assault and one defending. The goal? Get your teammate back. This game would require communication as well as skill. Objective: One of your teammates has been captured by the enemy, you must now get your team into the base and escort your teammate back. How it goes: The team who lost a member must now work together to storm a base of some sort and rescue their teammate. To do so you must break them out then escort them home. To escort you will need at least one teammate near them and run/walk them back towards some sort of extraction zone. It'd be 2 rounds. Tie breaker could be who did it faster or one teammate from each group was housing one enemy teammate. Basically both teams lost a guy and need to get them. Whomever got their guy extracted wins or its just a tie due to time.

  • only problem with this would be if you had, lets say a large map and the other team let you get your "unarmed/weakling" out of jail. They could then let you stroll into a spot where there is no cover and bombard you with sniper/rocket/grenades so you couldn't even get close. It would be like CTF but with worse spamming. That said i would play this gametype, but it would be the most aggravating

  • I see what you're saying and I've come up with a few things that could be issues. 1. As you said they could let the assaulting team get their man and then when they come out or reach a certain spot they could be bombarded. (This would actually make a good tactic but it'd be aggravating.) -To counter this you would either have to have numerous buildings or fight through a complex instead of an open map. 2. Supers. Since they can pretty much instakill with a few of them being able to hit from a range it'd make the game annoying because likely they'll either hit the guys escorting or the guy being escorted thus making progress really hard. -To Counter you'd be forced to either nerf or turn off Supers for the match --Problem with that counter is then you'd essentially just be playing Halo 3. Transporting the HVT. The guy you need to save to easily get killed, if the map is large then there could be vehicles that could easily take down a number of people plus with the map size it'd take time to get the person to extraction. -Counter. Not sure. Possibly either give both teams vehicles (besides the Sparrows), no vehicles or have only a transport vehicle. You'd pretty much have to counter snipe and counter super each other with vehicles being the quick transports to get from places. Plus one team would be outnumbered so it'd be a difficult game to play.

  • sounds alot like assault form halo (just imagine the bomb is a HVT) because you had to tote a guy around carrying the bomb who couldnt do anything but run. the major difference is that you can choose to drop the bomb whereas here you'd essentially have a gimp that gets insta killed as soon as they are seen. also, great ideas to counter the problems, i just think it has too many problems to work that also said, id still play it (see first post) and maybe when they add custom games (wtf arent they there in the first place, idk) ill make this gametype and share it with my friends.   • Never played much Multiplayer except for Custom Games, CTF and Slayer (only on Halo 4) so I'm not familiar with most types but when you say it like that I can see how its similar to what I was thinking. I pretty much agree. I saw. Well see you starside.

  • You know - I have been thinking about an idea like this for some time now. I think it is a great idea! Suggestion? Instead of having a real teammate (not sure of the activities he/she could do), we could rescue a clone of a clan member not in the fire squad. A more naked, beat up version of the member's character.
