how you discovered destiny.

we are all here. connected together for anticipation of Destiny. I ask now fell ow guardians. How did you discover destiny? I discovered it in a gameinformer magazine. It grabbed my attention and I saw potential. Just a couple of photos and an article. I tend not to get excited over game informer because most of this stuff does not make it or I don't hear of it again but later I did. I saw another article. Then over the summer I was told if I preorder I could try it free.

  • Hmm...I'm pretty sure I found out about it from the Law of the Jungle trailer... I think that's what it was called.

I've been a fan of Bungie since the first Halo, so basically through following their news as usual, I noticed they announced a new franchise, along with showing concept art.

  • Being a long time Bungie fan I was heavily following them after Reach and when they announced it I went crazy.

I walked in a GameStop early 2013 , I think to pick up Dragon's dogma : dark arisen or something cant remember what , but in the middle of those books with upcoming games on them to tease people was a giant display of the iconic destiny backdrop and the traveler , or as it seem to me at the time : .... a giant white disco ball . I was baffled by it , so I ask the clerk , hey what's that thing ? it looks like a giant disco ball . he tells me its this new game by bungie , and even I who never had touched a xbox knew these were the guys who made halo . I had seen enough on G4tv and other places to know how awesome halo was , and then the clerk tells me its being made for both . so I was interested , it sounded cool , but did I love it to death like I do now , no I didn't , I need to understand what it was , so I was on youtube and I typed it in , and was brought to the pathways out of darkness vid doc , and well .... I felt moved by it , even if it was just a narration and some concept art , it opened my eyes to how extraordinary this game might become , and it fulfilled a long held hope I carried as both gamer / an anime fan // and a general lover of great stories in general , to find a story or series at its start , and see if it becomes something really great , I mean , how many people can say that they read batman long before anyone even knew what batman was ? we are mere days away now , stay strong guys , gather your comrades and plan for the beginning and stay long after the end. See you all starside you beautiful bastards ....
