we are all here. connected together for anticipation of Destiny.
I ask now fell ow guardians. How did you discover destiny?
I discovered it in a gameinformer magazine. It grabbed my attention and I saw potential.
Just a couple of photos and an article. I tend not to get excited over game informer because most of this stuff does not make it or I don't hear of it again but later I did. I saw another article. Then over the summer I was told if I preorder I could try it free.

Heard name somewhere. Then saw (old) e3 trailer.

I went to gamestop to buy GTA V. While I was in line, I saw a poster with a big silver ball and below it, a text that read "Destiny" It reminded me about something I saw in Halo 3: ODST. I didn't look into until my friend told me if I've heard of destiny and to check it out. Now I'm here in the most anticipated video game of my life.
-
saw it awhile ago in gamestop being advertised. then about two weeks before the xbox beta started, i got an email from gamestop, saying id get beta access if i preordered it, and that it was made by bungie. my buddy and i, being huge halo fans since the first, we preordered it together. he was too fuxkin lazy to download the beta until a couple days before it ended, but i played the whole damn thing. whenever i was home from work, i was playing it. lol even til the last minute it was live, i was wrecking face in the crucible.
-
Cant remember ecactly, YouTube and/or gaming sites like joystiq/ kotaku.
-
My cousin told me about it
-
i like bungie, i like games made by bungie. follow bungie news. see new game. get new game. pretty simple.
-
The year was 2009. Halo fans everywhere were fighting through entrenched Covenant in New Mombassa to link up with their squad when one ODST (voiced by everyone's favorite Vera-wielding mercenary/quarian badass) spied this poster in the Uplift Reserve. At the time, no one knew the significance of that poster. Until information about The Next Big Thing got leaked, and Bungie decided to give us an official peek at that little side project they'd been working on after they finished Halo 3.
-
Around the time it became known and official to the public. I believe I was the first to pre-order it in my district. Still have the poster up above my tv, too.
-
The leaked contract maybe? Probably this
-
Back when it was still being called project tiger.
-
I saw it on the website a bit before the 2013 E3 show
-
You don't discover destiny, it was always there, you just became aware of it.
-
Been hyped since E3 2013.
-
I too first found out by gameinformer. However i didnt care all that much. It was a long ways away back then. When inside gaming did an interview with destiny and mentioned the alpha. I hopped on the train. Alpha got me hooked and beta got my friends hooked. Thank you gameinformer and inside gaming! (Much love bugie!)

Played the beta and fell in love.

I was at GameStop getting ghosts last year and saw a poster.
-
Halo 3 Fell in love with the then-bnet and after reach and pirates at sea and whatever aerospace is, bungie released some sweet looking concept art. I knew then that I would be definitely be playing that game.
-
I preordered GTA 5 and got a Destiny poster...
-
E3 is when I saw it, didn't care for awhile, then I got an alpha code off twitter... Everything changed. Because of that alpha I preordered ghost edition, before the alpha I wouldn't have bought any edition.
-
honestly I didn't know too much about it, then the open beta happened and I was hooked

Edited by Absolution: 8/31/2014 10:57:31 PMHeard rumors of a new bungie project, and felt bad since I still didn't want anything to do with microsoft... red rings have a way of turning you off of them... Once I heard it was actually coming to Sony consoles I was all over it...
