Im hesitating if im gonna get it or not.
120.-(switzerland ) its not the only one game i ll play in the year.

I thought they had a ten year plan for Destiny?
-
If they released a destiny every year the game gonna loose alot.. the company will gain, because of all the idiots buying the same game again with different shit they can put in with expansions. Cod does this every year. Overall its same gameplay and graphic.
-
What I can't see happening with the 10 year thing is the engine, it won't last. At some point, if it last that long, they'll have to revamp everything. Hell 2 years is a long time in computing never mind 10, Sony are working on Project Morpheus with VR and that's on the immediate horizon, who knows what 10 years will bring to the gaming world.
-
No way in hell if Activation try's that shit again ill be quite disappointed
-
More like 2-3 year cycles
-
No there is not going to be another destiny game. They are releasing expansion packs to add on to the map. They all ready said two of them

Edited by L337M4st3rLargo: 9/4/2014 6:54:52 AMWow looking at all these responses tells me one thing. Nobody in here knows how the future of destiny will actually play out. Lol no offense to anyone

Edited by High Charity: 9/4/2014 1:28:49 AMTheir contract with Activision says every other year, I believe. It may have changed since then to the model Halo used, with a new game every two years.
-
This is a trilogy with 3 expansions also. It has been stated numerous times.
-
Ya bungie has a contract with activision so they need to make a new game every 2 years
-
Nope. Annual titles are the death of innovation
-
They said the game is a ten year long project. There will be no destiny 2 just small and large DLC so you can add what you want. If you only want the big DLCs (kinda like a new game) then you can get those or you can stick to the small stuff and enjoy those too. I do have a sneaking suspicion that later DLCs may only work if you have the big ones. ie small DLC for a new planet that can only be accessed from the big DLC. This is only a thought but WoW work this way and most other mmo based games. (I believe there will be 4 small DLCs for every big one, this is based on the fact that there will be a DLC for each race.)

I'm guessing we will see the following: Monthly (maybe weekly) updates: bug fixes and balance adjustments. This is free stuff. Quarterly Expansions: more content to "tell more of the story" as Bungie puts it. This will cost money. Probably $19.99 Bi-yearly games: A newer updated version of Destiny with a lot of new content telling a lot more of the story. Probably see differences in gameplay (think Halo CE to Halo 2). This will be like buying a new game $60 to $120 depending on which version.

I thought destiny just this one was supposed to last 10 years
-
Think more like Halo, where the games are spread out between a few years.
-
Well supposedly this game is suppose to last for a good few years so destiny shouldnt be done every year like COD because it would lose its luster or for some people they would just get bored of it
-
I believe the deal is 3-4 games is what's needed for the contract agreement between bungie and activision. I believe a trilogy has been confirmed and we know there will be sequel titles down the line. Bungie has the upper hand in this deal.
-
Updates yes new game no Bungie doesn't do that call of duty copy and paste edition crap nor would I want them to
-
Updates will happen every week/month. A new destiny will come in around 2 years. Then the next in the next 2-3 years.
-
guys i got another question does the codes for the beta still work?
-
I do not think there will be a new game next year. This probably 4 or 5 expansion packs and then probably a new game the year after if Destiny is a bug hit like i know it will be. There are a lot of games coming out that i want to play. Like evolve, lord of the rings, witcher 3, and gta online.

Not sure if I heard wrong or not but I think bungie said destiny has a 10 year plan! That's crazy! This game could last hella long.
-
I think they're gonna follow the Minecraft model with Destiny accept charge a little for the really big updates as DLC instead of everything free with initial purchase
-
Let hey r making a new game every 2 years with DLC in between them
-
Thats a terrible idea
