The pacing between all games. They're inconsistent but equally bad. Gears 1 jumped all over the place. Gears 2 dragged on for way too long. Gears 3 was sort of mix between the two. Judgment constantly killed the flow with those stupid score screens.

Heard Judgement deliberately ignored the books, but I didn't play it.

Just finished reading it all. 1. I envy the Gears fanbase. They have a nice consistent (and most importantly, planned) story with lots of hints suggesting the truth. 2. It's eerie to see the Gears fanbase react and behave similarly to the Halo fanbase. Absolutely incredible to see fans who didn't like Gears' full story revelations tried to refute them by saying that the helpful Epic employee was a level designer or something unrelated to those who deal with the story. My Halo colleagues will definitely find this surprisingly reminiscent of what goes on in Halo.

reading that thread makes me want to play gears again

Everything in that silly series...

Equivalent? Perhaps he is simply older than me, but I believe if he put that effort into Halo's story, he'd surpass me. I don't know, perhaps this is what it feels like to read my works and writings when you guys don't know as much as me. Hmm...
