My biggest question is how can one believe the entire universe came into existence via "The Big Bang" by pure random chance as opposed to "The Big Bang" by intelligent design? Look at the structure of a muscle and how it produces ATP? The odds of that happening by pure chance alone are 1 in infinite. Now, look at the structure of the eyes, ears, nose, lung, heart, etc. Thats not even counting the solar system and physics coming into existence via explosion. How many explosions have resulted in mathematical order and physics? 1 if the theory is correct via random chance. What are the odds of that happening? Tornados creating Boeing 747's by destroying a trailer park is more likely.

  • No, it just means that sometimes, theists resort to easy answers like, "god made it like that," rather than actually investigating and understanding it.

  • Haha you idiot if you could understand god you would be god, typical man always trying to be his own salvation

  • While Big Bang by random chance ignores the questions I have asked in this thread while assuming that infinite time results in impossible circumstances becoming possible.

I never claimed to be persecuted or to even be a Christian in this thread until doing so right now. Please provide your antithesis to any of my arguments if it suits you. You tried on a few but my rebuttal more than explains your reasoning away. The fact is it takes way more faith to believe in random chance Big Bang than it does intelligent design.

Rebuttal is the term your searching for. Here's mine And before you start up with the RNA argument click on the link below. https://www.sciencenews.org/article/how-rna-got-started #You'reTotallyClueless Now I'm off to sleep. To dream about a world free of pseudo intellectuals with preposterous arguments trying to prove the existence of a magical omnipresent supreme being.

  • I can only read a small portion of the article due to membership requirements but even the title states, "this could explain." I'll read more about it later. There's a really cool experiment out there where the scientist creates several building blocks for life with a battery, jumper cables, and water or something along those lines. I can't remember off the top of my head right now but I think you would like that experiment and it's results. I'm on mobile so can't look it up right now but it somewhat supports the antithesis to my argument.

  • When you bring up things like muscles or the eye and the odds of it happening, all you're doing is telling us a)how small your grasp of billions of years is; b)you know next to nothing about how genes work.

  • I was referring to the amazing world of physiology but if you want to talk genetics...where are the missing links in the fossil records between cells..apes...and humans? I suppose you think being human was a recessive gene among apes and we magically appeared with no link between that giant leap?

  • It's because people have difference of opinion and prefer to out their faith in something more tangible than an all - powerful being. Also Christians have a bit of a bad rep.

  • So your opinion is that men are supremely stupid since we can't come close to creating what inorganic material randomly became? You believe that we all originated from a rock? And that at some point life was created randomly from inorganic material such as a rock? You believe that explosions create tiny universes that are microscopic to the naked eye every time someone shoots off a firework? Do you honestly believe that the largest explosion in the history of time resulted in order instead of chaos...in mathematical and physical principals instead of destruction?

  • Um no, I was answering your question. If you want my opinion it's I don't give a damn, I'm here and I'm not gonna waste time worrying about how I got here. I don't care if there is or isn't a god, I'm gonna use this time to do something with my life rather than argue with other people about religion. So think and read before you go off on a rant about how you think pure chance is stupid.

  • I'm not ranting. I was asking you if you believed any of those things. I respect your opinion to not wonder how the universe came to be the way it is but there seem to be 1 of 2 possibilities and one of those possibilities is statistically considered impossible.

  • Furthermore...how is it humans view themselves as intelligent beings caple of extraordinary creations when we can't create mechanical objects that last longer than 20 years...yet an unintelligent universe sustains and regenerates human life for an avg of 73 years? Humans can not create life from inorganic material yet the universe could? Humans cannot create organs...yet the universe randomly created them and made them work together? Just baffling!

Hmmm...I went there and had primarily atheist professors. I sought the answers to the questions they raised...yet in every circumstance was brought back to the same conclusion....that life didn't pop into existence from inorganic material....that explosions result in chaos...that our universe is statistically impossible to exist in the way it does....that the fossil record is missing tons of records between our closest relatives and even more so before that....that physics, physiology, chemistry, and mathematics are way more evidence for intelligent design than the impossible randomness ponzie scheme.

  • It actually really depends. If you truly believe the Bible, then none of those fossils should possibly exist. Dinosaurs, neanderthals, and all that should not possibly exist. I'm not trying to say a god/gods don't exist. It's a concept that can neither be proven nor disproven. Yet you cannot say life did not exist at the time of the Big Bang. Single cell organism exist and have been proven to survive in the most harsh of conditions. We evolved from organisms that only used the most basic of functions to survive into these incredibly complex organisms we are today.
