It would never work. Players could never do something like this without some kind of central leadership and most gamers either don't know how to, or won't follow the lead of another....even if that player is more qualified.....they'd just do what they want or listen to someone they like.
For example if- the FC (Fleet Command/Field Commander) said I want every Titan as a Defender, 3/4 of Warlocksas a Sunsinger, and every Hunter as a 1/2 Blade Dancer 1/2 Gunslinger you'd be met with cries of "-blam!- you" and " Don't tell me how to play my class"......
Players would inevitably lose and then cry to Bungie to make things easier.

They could make it like guild wars 2 with the dragon battles. Once everyone learns the series of events it goes pretty smooth. And you know they have changed the rate at which you gain xp for the final version. For all you know it could have been made easier for the beta so everyone could experience more content.

I hate guys who think the games gonna be hard as sh*t haha.
-
It depends..... I mean we are talking complete hypotheticals right now where you can get 100 people on a single shard and generate the endless waves of enemies in a scenario that has not be designed yet and may not ever......but.... Destiny will not be hard...I hope it is....but likely it won't be. It would be better if it was hard, push gamers out of their comfort zones and sense self entitlement. I would love to see scenarios however that are impossibly hard, to complete as I know someone would find a way to over come it.

Seriously, I haven't felt a true sense if self accomplishment from a video game since I first beat Halo 2 on Legendary. I hope they give us a certain mode to play on like that for hardcore gamers so that the inexperienced or casual gamers can go in on normal and have a blast, while us more serious gamers go in on hard or legendary and have just as much fun.

Mate.. You haven't even played destiny bahahaha
-
Yeah I have...... it's not hard..... its very easy..... doesn't mean that is the case for the content we haven't yet experienced. At this point I am even unsure what your point is.......I am thinking of something like EVE Sansha's Nation Incursions which are massive invasions of systems by Sansha's Nation pirates....they are too hard for individuals to even attempt and massive 80 man battleships fleets are required to attempt the end event sites...... but if those 80 players went in alone without comms and Logi support they would all die.

I disagree entirely. It seems Bungie have no fear of making it hard. People are banging on about raids etc. make defense uncoordinated and difficult. Most won't be able to communicate anyway. The more often people defend, the better they will learn how. If you don't re spawn and must be revived people will have to think twice before playing dumb.

Edited by FreezeTheLegend: 8/28/2014 10:14:57 PMCalm down it could just be waves of enemies not much leadership is needed just point n shoot also he said public event as in you don't choose when to do it

This is why we form small teams with close friends for unit cohesion in Destiny.

It works for small Strikes or Nightfall Missions. However when it comes to Raids we step it up to 6 man Groups...... but with a disorganised mindset players could not really ever hope to accomplish events designed for 100 player by acting in independent 3 man groups. Divide those players into Small 10 man platoons linked into large 30 man companies with 10 held in reserve as a triage..... You always have much greater chances of achieving something while working under central leadership.
