I think way too many people missed the point. It is not about intolerance of another person's views. It is not about "hating" or "not loving" your neighbor. And hell..you complain about all these christian themed threads...but have you noticed how many threads are decidedly anti christian ( well, anti any conservative life style )...and I don't see the religious right harping on that. So what if a group of people want to experience a leisure time activity with others of the same mind set? It is like you are so worried about being excluded from a group..a group of people, might I add, you would have no intention of being with anyways...that you have to complain about it?

  • That's all good an well but how could you possible think that you can be a part time christian. Maybe just maybe if Christians didn't spend so much time preaching and not following it up with action maybe you wouldn't see so many decidedly anti christian. You guys spend all day saying that loving and following god is something that you are supposed to do all the time. Your guy's constant preaching has made it clear to all that you think you god wants you to always spread the love and glory of god. To help shepherd the lost sheep back to the flock but when it comes time to show that you believe that fully you start spewing on about leisure time? I have never heard that it was all right to be a part time christian or a christian but only when its convenient, the mere prospect of that makes you not the christian's you claim to be and that's why the increasing number of people are starting to feel like your full of it. Either your a christian through and through and want to spread the love and word of god or you not. This claiming to be about one thing and then acting in another way can get down right nauseating. I may never be religious, I find it very unlikely, but I can tell you this. Religious or not I still respect the people that believe it deep in their hearts and back what they preach with action. People like you though, people who claim to be something they are clearly not will always disgust me. Just like a white wealthy kid trying to act like a poor rapper or a preacher who uses a churches funds to buy things for themselves. It's clear to everyone but them how full of crap they really are. Be a true christian or don't be one at all, Christianity doesn't allow for a middle ground. You love and follow gods teaching at all times or your just a hypocrite. Do you think Jesus spent his leisure time hiding from those who didn't believe what he had to say, Because from how you guys told the story he spent his whole life trying to spread the love and word of his father, I wonder how he would feel about your idea of leisure time meaning the idea of giving up on spreading the love of his father for awhile, something he gave his life to do. Any Christian who has done this separating or defends this should be ashamed of yourselves . Not because I or any other agnostic/atheist said so but because you have completely failed your god and what he preached. If Jesus was fine with that mentality he would of got his first couple disciples and secluded himself somewhere to chat among himself and his new followers about his father, but this is not what he did, he spent his entire life walking about spreading the love and miracles of his father to anyone and everyone regardless if their beliefs differed from his or if he spent all day walking in a desert before he came upon them. He always at every moment tried to spread the word of his father and asked you to do the same, In this you have failed him.

  • There is a huge wall of text here..which makes it very difficult to read. Who said anything about being a "part time Christian"? The Christian Bible specifically states that Christians should assemble with one another. A Christian ( or any religion I have read of, to be honest ) is not required to forsake hanging around other people of his same belief the moment he joins that religion. I wrote a lot more, but I deleted it. I saw that this one sentence completely destroys your whole argument. Anything else was not needed. Have a good day.
