Wait, I don't understand, why would the Didact want to use the Halo rings? I thought he was against using them

He's against using the whole array, but firing a tactical pulse at a species he despises doesn't seem too against his morals.

Indeed! However, if you'll note, he put a new Composer back into the spot the UNSC took the one from Halo 4 at. It seems that Halo isn't only capable of firing massive neutrinos. Ever since Halo 4 came out and we found the pseudo terminal regarding 03's Index, we at the Archive have been speculating on whether or not Halo is capable of amplifying the Composer's affect.
