Making one indie game that subverts the sexist tropes she talks about is unlikely to have much of an impact on the industry. 4. There are already actual devs who make games that engage with gender in nuanced and interesting ways. And, last, but certainly not least: 5. She received the money for the purpose of making a video series, not a video game.
