I know what you're going through. As a kid I've needed IV's every few months, which meant I couldn't use my entire arm for anything (Chronic disease for which I need it + phobia which somehow stiffens my entire arm). And this was right when Kingdom Hearts 2 was released, so I couldn't play it for a month. Technically... I've somehow learned myself to play with one hand and eventually use my feet when I'd need to. It does help that my fingers are longer than average but still, not an easy task. For an FPS it's harder to do though. I'd suggest just doing in the game what you can. You'll get used to it for sure. Just be sure to take breaks often so your good hand wont get overworked. And just be patient with it, it'll heal.

  • Wow that's tough man, is it something that eventually got better? And I've been testing out using my index finger instead of my thumb, but how would you play with one hand? I can't even imagine.

  • Nope chronic forever. It's a genetic thing which impacts all organs. No cure for it yet and there's a slight chance there will ever be Well my hand has a width from the 1-key to the =-key and I can move my fingers pretty good. So I can walk with my ringfinger on the stick, pinkie on the left buttons, index on the right stick and thumb for the buttons. With my middle finger I can press Select and Start whenever. I'd just go without the right buttons, which isn't a big deal usually

  • I'm not to knowledgeable in medical terms but hey, you learn something new every day. I'm sorry to hear about your condition, life truly isn't fair. On a lighter note, that's a humongous hand haha and I understand why the fps games are impossible but I'm impressed nonetheless.

  • Yeah I'd better not elaborate on the entire thing... there's a lot of bio, anatomy and latin involved xD But in the very basics, my body for some reason makes all forms on slime (which is in your lungs, throat, stomach and guts mainly) extremely thick. This makes it a perfect place for infections and all that crap to take advantage of so I'm on heavy meds 24/7... which destroy my kidneys and liver. So every few months I'm supposed to go to the hospital to get an extremely heavy dose of drugs through an IV. And the ironic part is... I've got a phobia for IV's and giving blood. To the point where I'd faint from it. Nothing to do with needles or blood, just the insertion of it. Psychologists don't work either and even hypnosis is too risky. It's just a big pile of crap on top of another. But luckily it's a disease you have since birth because I don't know any better. They also say my lungs can only hold 30% oxygen. And that's really bad... but I wouldn't know the difference so I'm fine with it. I can do everything pretty normally aside form sporting. I just cough and get exhausted easily But on the plus side, I can experience things like with the controller and I can game a lot. And through Make-a-Wish I've been to the Bungie HQ some years ago, right after they released Reach. They've already had Destiny Logos everywhere back then. One of the main reasons why I've been hyping for Destiny
