It's not Microsoft's problem the industry went with Blu-ray instead of HD DVD. It was better tech and easier to program but Sony paid enough to push through this crap. Just like they did when VCR's came out and Beta Max was there competitor. Nothing like having enough money to push through crappy tech because it's your product.

I'll just have to deal with the ads in the dashboard, and lower performance. I will only buy the exclusives though! Facts and truth always shut up ignorance! They obviously didn't read the whole post, and have limited understanding of hardware performance. As far as the name calling I can only chalk that up to childishness! It's always the same when they don't understand something. It scares them & they lash out with anger. Which is okay. I educated them with facts. What they decide to do with that info is out if my hands! You can lead a horse to water, but can't make it drink! We will see the level of reading comprehension when or if they read the entire post and articles supplied by the way they respond. If it's with more anger and name calling they can't comprehend what was written. The RAM tests are a little more technical, as are a couple of the other articles. The difference between 720p & 900p is around 50% more pixels in 900p! That a substantial difference. Going from 720p to 1080p is astronomical! Almost two times more pixels! 900p to 1080p is close to 30% more pixels. When considering frame rate, difference between 30fps & 60 FPS is pretty big too. It's mostly noticeable when a screen is loaded with a large number of items with AI. During slow paced time with little action it's not really noticeable. If I really go into this further, this e-book will turn into a novel! I have many accusations to reply to! Last time I looked this is an open forum. I live in the US and my posts are protected by the first amendment. The only thing I am putting down on any console is the DDR3 Ram in the XB1. If you are "sick of people" putting down a console then don't go to an open forum where consoles are one of the top topics. Maybe don't go to forums at all! Especially if a factual post makes you angry enough to call someone names because they posted facts contrary to what you want to believe. Even if they don't know for sure what they are talking about. When they can't find facts to reply with, they respond with anger, name calling, etc.. I think I have addressed most of your issues and or outbursts. I've worked in the computer field for a while. If you need me to break things down a little further just let me know. I tried to keep the info as simple as possible. I could break out some crayons maybe! I'm the guy that tinkers with every piece of hardware on my comps. Over clocking & running load tests on the Ram, processors, and GPU's. Looking for the "sweet spot" where I can get maximum performance without burning the hardware up. Let me tell you, DDR3 was outdated last year! Such a blunder by a computer giant really is a head scratcher! Especially as good as the 360 is! Mind blowing! Yes, the responses were condescending! This is me being a factual, condescending, jerk! I can't see where anything was condescending in the original post. Hopefully you come out of this an enlightened individual, and will know your facts before you start berating someone with your opinion as your only sources. Here is a hard lesson I learned long ago: never open your mouth in debate unless you are 100% sure you know all the facts. Keeping your mouth shut until you have researched the topic fully will save you embarrassment.

There are many links in previous reply above confirming the facts. They couldn't leave the kinect disabled which is why they dropped Destiny to 30 FPS. The biggest issue is the entry lvl ddr3 Ram & GPU. The PS4 has GDDR5 Ram with a mid level gaming GPU. Giving the PS4 almost 50% more processing power. I listed the sites that tested both in previous reply post. You can't patch faster performance into hardware. There's always a trade off. Something has to be taken away when you hit the processing ceiling. The xb1 is there already. GPU processing has hit it's max. The PS4 isn't even close. It's a simple fix. They need to upgrade the RAM and GPU. the motherboard isn't integrated with those items so it's very possible unlike last gen. I wish Microsoft would go one up on Sony in the ram & GPU dept. I would jump all over that. I really want to be able to play both. I will cave eventually, but it won't be for a brand new one! $400 is way too much for that config! And I need my Halo & other exclusives. I was a computer tech & was trying to keep terminology simple. That may be where any confusion stemmed from. I could care less who makes the console! I just want the games! I'll never understand pledging allegiance to a company & their console! It just doesn't make sense! It's all about the games!!!

We must agree to disagree! Which network?Xblive or psn? I may cancel xblive the closer we get to the 9th. But, ya. The gddr5 makes a pretty big difference! With the GPU diff it could prob run 1440p @ 30fps. That's just a educated guess. I have no numbers to back that up! The only time you would notice the diff between 30 & 60 FPS is when a shooter has a full screen. It just worries me because the 1 is so close to its maximum. I enjoyed the debate! Microsoft pulled Netflix and all 3rd party apps from behind the pay wall months ago look it up on Google. I am not going to argue opinions or dig up past facts all day to counter you guys because you guys already made up your minds based on the past. I pointed out Forza 5 to prove that it could be done but no one even acknowledged it. I agree 100%. I feel my Apple laptop is worth the extra I paid for it. I've had it for 3 years now & it's great. I was going through windows laptops one a year almost. Still paid more for the apple but I don't have the aggravation of starting over. It's kinda sad that the xb1 is built the way it is. I'm in shock! The 360 was great! Still play my 360. Some people are so blinded by console loyalty they refuse to look at facts. You're always going to have that. When I saw ddr3 I cringed! In gaming that's old stuff! But, it is what it is. I have no complaints except controller durability on the PS4. Shocked me too! I have original ps3 six axis 2008 still going strong! I'll prob cave just for halo & other exclusives. It's just kinda sad!!

Read links posted above. Sony had no problem running Destiny at 1080/60. 50% advantage is huge! That's pushing into 3k range! To be able to manage that, 60fps would be a breeze. Honestly, it's neither here nor there! 60 FPS got the axe regardless! Plus, we all loved the beta at 720p! I just want to play. I'm just sad the xB1 is already hitting it's ceiling! I'll cave just for halo! :/ the 9 tv is closer!!
