I'm prepared to be flamed, but the reason I can't wait for 9/9...

Upon Destiny's release I'm going to be incredibly excited to NEVER come back to these forums again... between the trolls, haters, flames, sexists, nickelback fans.... I'll be glad to peel away from this shitty community... this isn't a comparison to any other community but in general... they are all awful.... Just morons who think they're funny, or that getting a rise out of people is funny.... it's sort of pathetic and I pity you.... So you ask why I don't just leave now... It's because I'll admit i'm addicted to finding that one piece of actual news that might appear in these forums.. Also staying connected to my clans or groups.... but on 9/9 Im so glad to be able to get my news first hand... and not have to deal with the unrealistic expectations, the gender warfare, the delusions of grandeur.... So troll and flame on.. continue to ruin the forums with your selfish acts of idiocy.. yeah i'll still read it.... until September 9th... after that you'll return to just being a piece of shit alone in your house..... "bite the curb" ~huff

 • As an avid gamer, appreciator of the Destiny beta, long-time fan of Bungie, enjoyer of several Nickelback songs, and all-round grizzled ancient forum-goer, I have to tell you this: That's part of what being in a community is all about. You get shit heads, trolls and flamers no matter where you look. But in the end, if you can see past those few negatives, you might realise that hey, there really are some amazing folks here. Consider my story - I joined back in 2006. I was a nobody - rule breaker, overly-enthusiastic teenager, and in my eyes, the biggest Halo fan out there. As time went on I grew into the user people know me as today. I made long-time friends along the way, and have been there for amazing community accomplishments, and tragic, unexpected losses. I've known users to get married, have children, and some have sadly passed away. There have been extreme highs and depressing lows, but what does this post tell you, over eight years down the line? It tells you that this community is really worth giving a shot. Stick around, Huff. You might start to like it here.
