Why does it matter what is technically "competitive?" It is a feature that Bungie has done before and people are simply requesting it. They are in their right to do so. Your argument of semantics doesn't change anything. The truth is: YOU don't care about private matches so you are trying to belittle the people who do. Case closed.

  • Yes, i dont care about Private matches. What im saying is that people stick to the fact competitive only means when two clans face off in a private match. But thats not the case. Competitive is any, i repeat, ANY form of PvP. Not just two organized clans facing off in a private lobby.

  • I agree with your definition. Many of the advocates for PvP are on the extreme side and are probably saying irrational things. However, I am pointing out that if it offers no reward (glimmer, exp, loot) other than just entertainment, what's the harm? Bungie doesn't owe it to anyone, but people can request it. Like you, I wish every other post on the forum wasn't a complaint about this issue. I am sure Bungie knows that people want it by now. Either way, not everyone is lacking an understanding of the word "competitive." There are benefits to many people for this feature.. a feature that won't affect those who don't care about it.

  • I never said no to private matches in my post, i was just trying to reinform people that the term 'competitive' doesnt just apply to clan battles in private matches.

I see. Then I apologize for the misunderstanding. I definitely agree that a public match is just as competitive as a private match. Sometimes it can be harder to outperform five strangers who are not doing well to win against a team full of people that are meshing well. I completely analyzed your post wrong and offer my apologies.

  • Its no worries. At least you werent being outright rude. A misunderstanding happens, though i probably should have been more clear on my post that its not A Hate post. So i apologize as well, because it was my misleading information that lead you to misunderstand.

  • Haha. We have quite the "chicken or the egg" conundrum going here! I can't wait for the game. See you starside, guardian.
