I like the way Mass Effect did it. You could have your helmet off on planets that were inhabitable and could breath. The helmet was always on when you were in space or a planet with no oxygen. It was a nice feature.

True, that would be cool. Though, from what I've understood all planets are habitable for humans because of the Traveler?
