So reselling games ever other year is bad but selling the same 3 movies 20 times on different formats = ok?
*sigh*
No wonder we have companies like apple charging full price for the same shit as the year before, because you clowns are happy to support it.

These are different from what Lucasfarts released... They are the ORIGINAL cuts, unedited. This is what long time fans of Star Wars have been screaming for! Now they won't have to find pirated copies off the internet.
Now they won't have to find pirated copies off the internet.
lol They came out on DVD a while ago. Unless you're telling me there are 3 versions of the original trilogy.

More than 3. Every re-release had some changes made to it thus making them less and less "original" every time. What people would try and find on the internet and what Disney is releasing now is basically what was shown in theators when the movies came out. Lucas never wanted anyone to have those and decided he wasn't "satisfied" with them so he proceeded to change them continuously.

So its been released before but now in a different Format, big deal.

Edited by HankTheYank27: 8/17/2014 7:28:10 PMNo. The original movies which were shown in theators have been altered a bunch! They have replaced the original SFX with crappy CGI that looks out of place, have changed the things characters say, and have even changed some of the events which have happened. The fans want the original movies, not something which is constantly being slightly altered and changed. Example of one would be Han shooting first in the original movie but Lucas changed it to Greedo shooting first. May not seem like much, but if you delve deep into what defines Han as a character (ie. outlaw) you would realize how important it really is. Imagine if Da Vinci came back from the dead and decided he wanted to give the Mona Lisa a makeover... You really think we would let him? Basically, the remakes dont maintain the character that is Star Wars itself. They feel changed and unoriginal. They are not the same movies people saw in their childhood. Don't be mad at Disney for giving the fans what they have wanted. Be mad at Lucas for ruining his own masterpiece despite the fact that no one wanted that.
