Split screen will become split monitor.... one system, two TVs connected by bluetooth. So you can still play on one system without connecting to the interweb and dragging down system bandwidths.

The only problem with that is that the console still has to render two parts of a map at once, so the frame rate and resolution would still be decreased slightly. As for bandwidth, I don't think two TVs would change anything.
