I enjoy PvE and PvP. I wouldn't say I suck at PvP, I have a couple really good matches followed by a streak of bad matches... I just call that "inconsistency". The only reason it doesn't matter to me if private matches are in or out is because I would only use them once in a great while.

I spent 16 hours in explore to gain the loot I have on my character and I did descently in PVP now maybe I had a lot of bad games those don't matter to me, why because in the game mode I died a lot because I was a Hunter who rushed the objective which is why I did Bad not because I play PVE more.[i][/i]

2 RepliesIn the beta I was usually in 1-3 place overall (with a hand cannon) in matches and I'm more of a PvE person. I'm going to play PvP but I'm not super excited for it like I am for the PvE and I don't give a fig about private lobbies. PvP players=PvP players

4 Replies... uuhh... the only reason i don't technically "like" PVP is i feel like there's something weird about it. i mean, if it where just me and a bunch of people i knew, i think i would have alot of fun. but then again, bungie doesn't have private matches so thats now kinda impossible :P and if you where to look at my PVP/PVE kills, they're about right for the amount of time i played. i once played an uneven match and won. that was only my second time in PVP and i wasn't quite used to playing PVP in Destiny. but given time, i should be able to get used to PVP. and even play it more often than PVE. though i do like the exploring so :3

All that we know, as of now, is that there is no private matches in the retail release. That doesn't mean that it won't be there in early dlc. Personally...I don't prefer PvP. Its not my cup of tea. I enjoy storyline and exploration. Those get older a hell of a lot slower than PvP, in my honest opinion. Also because I don't PvP as much as someone who say...has been doing PvP in call of duty in most of its iterations, in halo in however many of its iterations, etc... Does that make me any worse of a player? No. It might make me worth a little less in PvP, but I'm only there for comraderie with my clan anyways. I'm more concerned with them adding extra raids than I am about PvP, tbh. You play destiny for the PvP...I'm in it for the raiding. We'll both enjoy what we enjoy. Maybe someday you'll also get your private matches.

Sick and tired dealing with a team who simply suck and do a bunch of nothing. PvP is extremely easy in Destiny that after 10+ games I simply quit since the PvE offer more challenge. 1 ReplyI completely support PVE but yet, I always am on top of the list in my matches for the Crucible. I like the Crucible and I like PVE as well. People that support PVE don't suck at the crucible maybe they aren't a competitive person.

2 RepliesA little off topic but wouldn't private matches allow a large enough group of friends farm the crucible for marks, rep, gear, and a cheap route to inflate kdr? So why would pvp enthusiast want private matches? Back on topic I'm all about pve so I don't care if private matches are added or not.

My kd ratio isn't great and I like pvp on fps games. I think unless there's an outcry from millions bungie is just going to be more into the PvE. Pvp in this game is actually treated like it used to be, a side dish for the main course. You make some friends here, go play some pvp to get crucible points for gear then go explore, do strikes, raids and the like. The same reason some of us are pissed that they tack on 2 hour campaigns to cod (never used to be that way) you guys are mad that pvp is not front and center. I understand your anger, but this game is centered around coming here making friends, for coop strikes and raids with occasional pvp, bungie is hoping all of us make enough friends to keep it challenging. We all know that's not gonna happen, and unfortunately for the time private match enthusiast/MLG enthusiast just gotta deal. All games sacrifice somewhere and this Bungies chosen path. No one is making people but the game. You don't like it, don't buy it.

Dont care about private matches right now. Hell even titanfall didnt have them until recently and they are still in beta. At some point they will likely add them as well. Let them get the damn game out im sure other stuff will get added. That said who cares if they are at the bottom of the scoreboard as long as they have fun. Its a game not the end of the world

Your little hypothesis will probably serve you well in a lot of instances, but there will be a substantial amount of exceptions to the rule. I enjoy both aspects of this game, immensely. I am also in favour of private games and for that matter raid 'matchmaking'.

So i cant just not like competitive multiplayer in a game like Destiny? Some people like the exploration and the wonder and lore of the destiny universe over mindless killing in the Crucible
