It's not MLG that people hate, it's the people. Not all, just the ones that believe themselves to be "too elite" for anybody to play with and that if you're not doing it their way, then you're not doing it the right way. The ones that sit on a self-appointed pedestal and criticise anybody just there to play the game. They're the people that like to turn a good, fun game into an e-peen measurement contest. The ones that believe they're entitled to put up the velvet ropes that section themselves from everybody else. Unfortunately these kinds of people are everywhere not just MLG.

Sadly some people don't know how to show humility. I know my K/D sucks I play for fun, not so I can be called an élite.

My k/d sucks because I'm usually taking a bullet to save someone else. Or.. you know trying to take out the tank by myself. Love being a support player but get such negativity from those kinds of people. Instead of seeing what you've done and the fact that by doing so you've enabled them, they see your score and think that you're bad. Person camping: "lolz u so bad, lyk look at ur score" Support: "Yeah.. and you have the multipliers because I've been capturing."

Thank you, I too like to support my team when playing. Because of this my k/d usually isn't high, but I do get a lot of points. Though no one noticed that what I did just saved them and allowed our team to move in and take that base, or forced the other team back. All the "pros" do is look at k/d and see that as the only measurement of playing ability.

This is so true. In Battlefield, for example, while the idiot top scorers continue to run into the same hallway where everyone is dying to bump up their kills and scores, me and my squad take the back way and capture the back base, giving up all those valuable kills so our team doesn't get spawn trapped and lose because of some MLG pros who only wanna bump up their scores and then trash talk the folks who let their team win.

In Bad Company 2 while playing Rush I would have people start to TK me because I was planting on the M-Com stations. They wanted to just sit there and rack up kills and didn't care about the objectives at all.

Yeah I'm a support player as well take out the biggest danger, capturing the base and even going out the way to help my fellow teamates. That's partially why I chose the warlock cuase it seemed the like the one to do so.

Oh the ones who say "Get on my level son, what, what, 1v1 b***h I'll show you whats what" and the rest gets a little fuzzy because you mute his A$$ and can only here him through the one guy that has an Echo simulator built into his headset.
