I don't see the point in arguing against having more options. If you don't want to use it, don't use it. But theres no reason that those who want it can't have it.
Your experience will not be ruined by another player playing with a friend. It won't effect you in the slightest, unless you just so happen to join a fireteam with them. So I can't imagine why you would be against it. Its not like you're forced to use splitscreen. Its the player's decision, and if they want to play with a friend who comes over, then they should be allowed to.

I don't think splitscreen accounts should be allowed like how COD allowed the guest account to level up and unlock things, in destiny it'd be unfair as it's twice the loot, glimmer etc so the guest players at least should be a different online account or not count toward anything

Wat? You don't get anything towards the main account when a guest splitscreens in CoD. They all go towards the guest account and disappear when it logs off... Also, splitsceening in Destiny would have to be the second player logged into a XBL or PSN account because you need to have a character in the game to play.

O_o what CoD was that specifically When I used a guest account for any CoD game, on PS3 btw, the guest account would copy the current state of my account's progress the moment it clicked X to join the session and chose "Sign in as guest". After that it could level up, unlock whatever possible / buy stuff if the game had any of the recent credit systems they've had. W hen it logged off, of course all that progress would vanish because I had been progressing my main account all that time. There is no way the progress could transfer to the main account.. so how did it work? I can't think of a way

It was bo2 I leveled up at 2X the rate and all the camos they got stayed

Leveled up at 2x the rate? Are you sure it wasn't a double xp weekend because I'm pretty sure there's no such thing as ranking the main account in guest account in the BO2 I played

I'm positive it wasn't it may have been a glitches that was patched idk I haven't split screened since then
