That's like a high school Bball player that loves Bball but Hates NBA..
I hate how it's casual vs. competitive (hardcore) players in the forums..
Shouldn't we be helping each other to make a game that we all love to be better?
How can private matches hurt or spoil the fun for casual gamers?
Edit: well at least we ALL agree, that private matches won't hurt anyone by adding it to the game. Thank you for the posts, I have a bigger understanding for both sides.

If you don't like clan battles, ladders, and tournaments fine. But don't hate on us that do want the feature and are disappointed by the lack of it. We are after all talking about a game made by the same people who made Halo, a game with a huge population of clans and tournaments. That could be a part of this game IN ADDITION TO THE GREAT PVE.

People on the internet get along? OP must be a dreamer.

I don't have a problem with MLG. But there are certainly some crazy mofo's in the circuit. I do however find it laughable when people call it a 'sport', come on really?
-
I don't like the mean cocky MLG ones...
-
why do MLG players hate casual players ?
-
I like to derp occasionally but hardcores seem to ruin the fun and pick fights.
-
Because we casuals don't like to take the game seriously. We just like to sit back, play, and have fun. As for me, my friends who take games seriously seem to have excuses for every time they die. And that annoys the hell outta me
-
It's not the mlg players that are disliked, but rather the ten year olds screaming mlg pro pro elite and other ridiculous crap. I happen to like true mlg players, just not the wannabe trash.

Edited by Paradox763: 8/17/2014 3:16:46 PMThe only thing I don't like about MLG is that when they play they play a different game than public players. For example in call of duty Ghosts (a terrible mp game btw) MLG players can't use the I.E.D but in public it is everywhere. That's not the biggest example but you get the point. If yet are considered the best players in the world then why do they play a different version of the game?

Just because private matches won't be there on launch doesn't mean they won't add them later. No matter what they are saying right now.

Edited by xSeNTiiNeL: 8/16/2014 9:30:29 PM
I hate how it's casual vs. competitive (hardcore) players in the forums..
Why would you say that hardcore players are competitive ones? What if I tried my arse off trying to make PvE montages and boss speed runs? I'm pretty sure PvE is not considered competitive, but would I not be considered hardcore? Again, what if I want to 'pub stomp' in the Crucible? Would I not be hardcore? Because I'd certainly not be playing competitively.

Edited by Silverfrost: 8/16/2014 9:34:05 PMBecause the vocal MLG wannabes get on here and spout their bigoted drivel about how anyone who doesn't go 2.0 KD and so much as touches SP games are bad and ruining the gaming industry cuz bad. I certainly wouldn't consider myself a casual, but I dislike MLG for claiming gaming is a sport. IMHO, in it ain't athletic, it isn't even close to a sport. Oh, and they describe games that fit their niche as "competitive". I'm sorry, but anything that can be won is by definition competitive. I really wish they'd find another term.
-
I would say it is more than likely the attitude so called MLG players have.
-
I'm one of those guys with over 2.6 kd... We don't hate you MLG has raised the profile of gaming you've got ninja who can make 3 thousand dollars just streaming who engages with fans halo2 change competative gaming for the better... The difference is we play to win and don't really like losing when teammates leave when down 2000 points or drop neg 20 bombs... If you want to get better get a mic and communicate learn from better players don't fight against them or sabotage a match... If you want to learn to get better MSG me L U X F O R M or follow on XBOX1 I've played 5+ mlg pros so if u help just ask
-
I just hate the casuals because they ruin games with their endless crying and whining due to their lack of skill/ brain power. No, I am not an MLG gamer; however I am a competent gamer and a I play to win!
-
Because MLG is full of blowhards.
-
Because the world is filled with entitled assholes who think the game to be made their standard..... MLG players are upset because they spend countless hours mastering the games... but they are few and far between. Casual gamers are upset because they fear the focus of games is shifting to a market shared gamer corporate ratio where instead of gearing a game specific to a story.. it'll be arena focused play to wins.... Company's don't have the means to generate games to MLG players... and what the MLG players fail to realize is that they are creating the game MLG just by playing them the way they are.... never has a game been geared to such competitiveness .... so they will get what they want... Casual gamers on the otherhand are always just fearful that their better opinion will be ignored and the explore/campaign genre will soon be gone..... both fears are realistic but at this point unwarrented Be Easy People... the games will come as they are... its the community that drives their success and focus..... it's just two separate communities that don't really need to interact at all.... ~Huff

Because "MLG" players are generally entitled-dudebros who take gaming way too seriously. They thing playing video games is a sport. It's not. It's a recreational activity.
-
They hate it because they aren't good at it. And when you're less good at something, it becomes less fun.
-
Hey dude. I'm a casual gamer when it homes to all games. Same goes with most, if not all, of my friends. We enjoy doing well and doing our best but are nowhere near MLG performance and we are cool with that. As well as we don't have hardcore gamers either so don't worry I'm all for equal play as well as enjoy playing some competitive games against some people that are "hardcore"
-
People that play mlg should take it like playing professional chess not like professional football.
-
Casuals suck and Pros don't. Simple as that. Casuals don't like that they can't compete with the actual good players.
-
Idk maybe they think they're stuck up?

Edited by Owen: 8/17/2014 2:07:58 AMI'm a casual and while I don't hate MLG, I think certain individuals can give casuals a bad impression of the MLG community. And I have to say I'm seeing a lot of those individuals in this thread.
-
because you just called me "casual"
