Community Carnage [BSL]- Minecraft (PC/Mac) - Week 10
THE LAST CARNAGE OF THE SUMMER HAS ENDED! BLUE TEAM JUST BARELY MANAGED TO SNAG VICTORY. IT WAS A CLOSE AND EXCITING GAME THE WHOLE WAY THROUGH! THANKS FOR PLAYING EVERYBODY!
Hey you guys, this is our last weekend this summer with "The Bungie Summer League", so we thought we'd do something special!
The Community Carnage is teaming up with Minecrafters to bring you the first ever Summer League game to occur in Minecraft! This Saturday, August 16th at 3pm EST, we're going to be playing Minecraft for PC/Mac.
This is going to be a bit different from the standard Carnage. Instead of receiving an invite at the designated time, you'll log on to the server run by Gr33n Knight. (More on that in a bit.) Both Red and Blue will have eight people at the max on their team, plus a mod or two flying around the map to stop any shenanigans from taking place. You will spawn in the center of a small open base. Each team will have a small wall within the base with a place to put items, and a sign saying what should go in each space. Your team's objective is to gather the items needed to fill each space while stopping the other team from filling their spaces. Some are easy, like the Lilypad. Others are less easy, like the Diamond Block.
Rules: - Moderators and Admins of the server have final say over issues. Listen and obey them. - No PvP may take place within the base and the safe zone surrounding it. (It's pretty obvious where we draw the line.) PvP is otherwise allowed. - Once an item has been placed in the correct slot on a team's wall, it may not be removed. - You may not use any existing structures/inventory or areas from outside the general 1000x1000 block area surrounding the base to help collect items or hinder the other team. (We will know if you do this.) - You may not deconstruct the base and/or the surrounding area. - You may not trap people in the base and/or surrounding area. - BE ON TIME. No one likes to delay an entire event because you couldn't drag yourself out of bed before three in the Afternoon. - Be polite. - Have fun.
To sign up, just post your Minecraft Username and preferred team in this thread. It's that easy. Just show up at the right time on the server. AND NOW FOR A SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT:
Go to THIS post by Gr33n Knight (The server owner) for relevant up to date information. This includes the IP address for the server itself. In the event that I am unable to attend the Carnage, please look to Gr33n for guidance, for only he can deliver you from evi-no wait, wrong speech. Ah, here we go… Gr33n is in charge you knuckleheads.
Hello! I am here to represent the Bnet Minecrafters! I am the current server admin, and will be hosting the Event on the server: 198.24.165.234:30338 The server is running Minecraft version 1.7.10, which is the latest full release version. When the event is about to start, I am going to change the server spawn to that of the competition, so unless you've been on the server before, you shouldn't have to worry about finding anything. If you have been on before, I'll bring you to the location manually. Once everyone is there, I'll color your names appropriately for your team, and you will then begin the game. Also, if there is a name you are more well-known by, and it doesn't match your Minecraft username, let me know and I can add a nickname so people can recognize you. If anything happens that causes damage to the play area, such as a creeper destroying a team's items in the spawn base, I can correct the damage with commands, so just let me know. I will either be online monitoring and making sure everything runs smoothly. The most important thing is to enjoy yourselves. I'm here to make sure the finale of the Bungie Summer League is a good one!
