I think I'll wait for the full release to decide. I cannot stand game sites that criticize a game over a beta when they should know more than most that it's not a final or full version. I think it's horrible reporting. I think you are good for recognizing that it's a beta at least and the possibility of story being omitted.

But betas themselves are made to be criticised, so problems can be found and solutions implemented on release.

Yes, bugs and other issues with gameplay. Story should have nothing to do with it.

Why not?

The story has been in development since the beginning. They already know what they're going to do with the story, so if they released it for criticism in the beta then a small tweak here could make the entire thing crumble. Just as sergeant was saying, the purpose of the beta was to test their new systems. I know a lot can happen in a year, but we didn't encounter the scene from E3 2013 that included "The Crow" (that Awoken) while we were on Earth. It either got changed, excluded from the beta, or there are more than just those five missions on Earth.

...Well that would be a shame.

I was just getting ready to respond, but you got it. Thanks!
