Just an idea, but having the ability to build a custom shade/color mechanism for armor sets at the cost of glimmer for players.

I agree. but i would like to have the ability to pick one solid color and apply it to my weapons and armor. I do not like the idea that someone else at bungie picks the colors for me and put 2 do them together.

I think custom shaders, or just more shaders in general (that are available at earlier levels) would be great. I think that being able to choose your colors would be awesome.
Why can't I have my blue and white shader?! Why?!
You guys do know that once you hit lvl 20 you can buy new shaders right?
-
any armor uncommon and above can be recolored. shaders just adjust to shade to turn it into another shade of that color. Example: red to 'candy apple' red were you confused when you made this post or do you really want customizable shaders on top of the ability to choose an actual color for your gear?

Customizable Shaders - NO more color variations - YES

Done. Making dreams come true. Bungie.

The only reason this may not be implemented is rendering issues, games such as APB have utilized this in the past but because so many variations were present in the game many peoples characters wouldn't load immediatley because the cpu was having trouble rendering all the unique designs, though if the consoles could handle this then itd be a purty nice addition...

My Level 8 uncommon Beta armor can be shaded.....although if shaders are a level 20 unlock that doesn't make much sense as it will be all but worthless. I suppose your higher level character could shade it and leave it in your vault for a lower level character.

Go on YouTube and watch the Destiny GDC and you'll they'll give you a taste of the shaders you can get
