The Never Ending Story: A story by YOU!

After reading a couple of fan fictions and stories (the writer's bug seems to be going around) I thought it'd be fun to start a story and let everyone be part of a never ending story. A story in which is passed down from author to author. It will be a glorious epic with twists and turns. It will make us laugh, cry, gag in disgust, and flip over our computers collectively. It will inspire writers, artists, musicians, chefs and professional wrestlers to name a few. Rules and Guidelines 1. DO NOT END THE STORY 2. Try to keep your part of the story about five sentences long 3. Since I don't think you can sort posts in the mobile version from oldest to latest, try to keep the story as a chain in a sub thread as a reply to the sub thread. 4. Keep the story going at least using context from the previous entry, but don't be afraid to make a plot twist using entries from the past. 5. Try to read all the entries before making your own. 6. Each sub-thread is its own contained universe. You can continue the story to which ever universe you like. 7. Like the sub thread and those that logically come after it to keep them at the top and to keep the story cohesive and make sense. 8. END NOT THE STORY I'll begin: The 2 AM drowsiness had begun to set in. I logged out of bnet, closed my laptop and sat there for a moment while I rubbed the internet out of my eyes. I listened to the sharp ring of my body pumping blood for true silence could never be attained. I was falling asleep on my chair when all of a sudden a loud screech of tires followed by a blaring car horn shot my eyes wide open. I ran outside and was blinded by a set of headlights and fog-lights. "It's me man, David!" David was my best pal since high school. "Get your ass in the car, there's no time to explain!"

 • "What the- Tom, what the hell are you doing at my house?" I said. Tom was, apparently, not ready to give me answers. He opened the passenger door and pulled me in, and then we set off into the night in his red hand-me-down Toyota. Once I convinced Tom to not go 30mph over the speed limit, I asked him what was going on. "Jesus, remind me to never play poker again," said Tom.
