For me, there are 2 main reasons why I don't like COD.
1 - The community: The COD community is notorious for being one of the most volatile bunch of people you could even play games with. They're are youtube vids that make fun of this, there are articles about it on gaming sites - If the COD community was a girl, you wouldn't bring it home to meet your mother...
2 - The gameplay: COD's gameplay is sorta unique, because it mixes aspects from both modern-combat and arena shooters, which creates a fast-paced environment, where yo0u can be killed in one shot...which is a problem I have with it - they mixed the wrong aspects together... Also, with things like killstreaks and drop packages, it promotes things like camping. It also has a OHK melee weapon - that can also be thrown, which is a no-no in my book. The success of COD has also resulted in counltess other games trying to mimic it's "secret sauce" gameplay, rwesulting in piss poor clones, and lack of innovation in games.
And finally, it allows players that otherwise aren't that good, to feel like gods. I have a friend that is a really good in COD - he loves it. he plays all the time, he's fully presitged, etc. I told him he should play BF, which is what I play, and his answer was, "I don't really get into BF. I'm gonna be honest, it's because I'm not that good. I can beast it in Call of Duty, but I get killed in BF, so I just play COD."
COD is a game where players of all skill levels can feel good about themselves, or at least offer some degree of satisfaction to players, but often it is artificially created, so then when/if these players try other games and try the same tactics, they get destroyed, resulting in them blaming the game and not themselves, and in their minds why should they, since they do at least moderately well in COD?

Im great at battlefield and call of duty, just because you're good at one doesn't mean you're bad at the other

Edited by H0RSE: 8/11/2014 12:40:30 AMNo, but it has been a pretty common occurrence, even to the point of where it's talked about and joked about on the web, where lots of COD players will try to transfer over to BF, and have a rude awakening in the form of getting their ass handed to them. I'm assuming that these individuals have had little to no exposure to shooters prior to COD, or have played COD so much, that they got accustomed to it's gameplay and forgot that the only game that really plays like COD, is COD.

Thats true, thats true. Im just pointing out that there are many like me who play and enjoy both

IMO BF is a beast. Bullet drop, rocket up your backdoor from a mobile artillery strike, the thrill of when will the wall beside you get C4-ed, or Tanked.
