I've heard speculation that seven seraphs are focused on praising the traveler because of the name's religious connotation and osiris is guardian focused based on the fact that guardian's used to be dead.
Note that I don't agree with the speculated ideology of seven seraphs but since it isn't solid I'm keeping it for now.
• Its the only real theory I've heard up until now, so I'll take it for the moment. I've heard a few scattered theories concerning Osiris. Ranging from plans to revive the Traveler to, if I interpret this Guardian focused outlook, maybe a reverence for the Traveler and the ghosts as a God, it brought us back to life and denies us the afterlife. Maybe they view the Guardians as Gods, I don't know. The seven seraphs really do intrigue me though. Other than the 7 reference and the allusion to angelic characters, I've got nothing to go on.

 • The fact that seven seraphs has seven in it could suggest similar goals to new monarchy but a republic instead, composed of seven. I don't know how the seraphs fit in. Maybe the seven are supposed to be confused of people such as the speaker who can communicate with the godlike traveler, or maybe this is all wrong. It's also worth noting that the grimoire only has four faction cards.

 • Perhaps the Seraphs consider themselves saviors. You raise a good point though, they may be a council of 7. Really? That does not bode well for the Seraphs at all. Which could be saddening, especially because they were the faction who I was the most interested in investigating.
