Skills
Grenade Selection:
► Flux Grenade -"An explosive grenade which deals additional damage when attached to an enemy."
Why?:
You can sneak up on a group of enemies, stick it to one of them and then blink right back out, thus killing them all at once and staying unharmed.
Jump Selection:
► Blink - "A short distance Teleport that replaces Double Jump."
Why?:
It provides that extra speed you need. You can shove your knife into someones head and then blink right to the next target.
Super Selection:
► Vanish - "Press during Arc Blade to disappear from sight."
Why?:
<_< Do I really need to explain that?
Melee Selection:
► Escape Artist - "Hitting an enemy with Blink Strike grants brief invisibility."
Why?:
MORE INVISIBILITY!
Passive Selection:
► Path Forgotten - "Training focused on toughness and speed."
Why?
You have to be as fast as possible, and the Bladedancer also has very low base toughness.

► Way of the Fearless - "Training focused on toughness at all costs."
Why?
Bladedancer has very low base toughness. You will need it when you make a mistake.

► Shadowjack - "Increases the duration of invisibility effects."
Why?
You will be able to kill more enemies while being invisible, taking no damage at all. This creates the potential to wipe out entire groups of enemies with a single combo.

► Stalker - "Gain invisibility after crouching in place for a short time."
Why?
If your invisibility fades while you are in the middle of a hoard of enemies, you will be grateful to have this skill.
Illumination - Additional Agility
Weapons
To each their own.
I usually play with Scout Rifle, Fusion Rifle and Rocket Launcher.
Scout Rifle for long to mid range, Fusion Rifle for close quarter combat and the Rocket Launcher when you have to kill some really heavy enemies.
Armor
Anything that boosts your Super/Melee charge time.

Edited by Ninpire: 8/16/2014 10:28:21 AMI'd take razors edge and encore, more usefull in PvP with a nearly unlimited killing potential. I don't think that going invisible durring arch blade will be that effective. It locks you to close range, which forces you to move, the rules of invisibility make you much easier to spot while moving, and anyone with brains will backpedal while filling you with assault rifle spray. Razors Edge will give you some desperately needed range, encore will refill your archblade time with kills, keep it up till you die or you run out of cannon fodder.

I was working on the Gunslinger subclass for my Hunter during the Beta but now I think I'm going to become a Blade Dancer. That name just reeks of awesomeness! K4 Nightmare, thank you for the tree tip above. I haven't really looked into all this info yet and honestly, I needed some guidance in that regard. Thank you.

Alot of people will use this build. But it's a good build. I've seen people post those same abilities but even so good luck in the crucible
-
Shadow Blade? More like DARKBLADES!!! XD ... Couldn't help it :3
-
I have a completely different bladedancer build in mind (the details are in nother thread) i hope we meet in pvp some time, it'll be fun
-
Do we know if engaging combat breaks stealth or not yet?
-
Is this for PvE?
-
I just wonder how good the invisibility will be and if its worth it to invest all your talents in it. Also I would focus in recovery over toughness. Since you are fast and stealthy you can get away quickly regen health and get back into the battle. Definitely a PvP build though. Can't wait for Blink.

Change fusion rifle to shotgun, no charge time, same devastation.
-
I have a similar build but with minor differences
-
i mainly play as a sniper/support (scout, sniper, MG) i managed to find a scout rifle with a really high rate of fire which was good for close to mid range but yeah once sept 9 comes around i'll keep my eye out for that helmet

I think this is great for PvP. For PvE some of the other options will be better. PvE, vanish probably isn't the best, for example.
