I paid $60 I deserve to have access to the entire game

Getting a lot of whiners (I know, what's new) about the MM. And one thing I keep hearing is "Why should I be restricted from part of the game, I have a job, wife, family, school whatever, so it should be changed to ensure I can play. After all I paid just as much as you. Yet none of those people stop to think about the players these raids are designed for. And Bungie has been pretty vocal about wanting to have something for every type of gamer. Creating activities for every mood, or every type of gamer, means not everyone is going to like or be able to do every activity. If you're not the type of person that can schedule a time with 5 other people to tackle the hardest co-op experience in the game, then raids weren't designed for you. And it's extremely selfish and entitled of you to say that the raid Bungie designed for those players should cater to your play style. Want MM co-op dungeion, there will be probably 20 times as many strikes designed just for you than there will be raids designed for raiders. Want PVP, well Bungie has you covered as well. Want story, either lone wolf or co-op, covered. Want to explore every nook and cranny of the different worlds, covered. Between strikes, PVP, nighfall events and other limited time activities that Bungie will be providing, the 1 raid is probably like 5% of the available endgame activities. Someone only interested in PVE and skipping out on PVP is going to be missing much more of the game that someone that isn't able to raid. And since powerful exotics can be obtained in every activity, you aren't going to be out gunned by someone that can raid. TL:DR Creating activities for every mood, or every type of gamer, means not everyone is going to like or be able to do every activity. There's still an abundance of activities designed for you.

  • You do have access to the entire game. If you can't find the time or friends to play in certain areas I think that falls on you not Bungie.

  • We didn't all pay the same amount. I paid over a hundred, and I have a Plus account so that I can access all of the content of the game. Whiners need to quit.

    • Anyone who says that (the title) in regard to raids is an idiot. Matchmaking not being a feature doesn't mean you just can't play raids anymore. You have the same access as anyone else, you just choose not to play it because it doesn't work the way you want it to. ("You" referring to the people who feel they aren't getting what they paid for)

    • "I paid for the game, I should get everything in it!" That's like saying "I paid for the console, I deserve every game!" And where's the fun, the challenge, in having everything handed to you? I am positive that raids will not only work without MM, but they'll be infinitely better too.

    • All those who want MM are soo blind, soo very blind. MM just means people dropping group left and right after the first wipe.

You people don't seem to be getting the big picture here... "YOU" already have "ACCESS" to the content you just don't wanna put up with the effort needed to "ACCESS" the content Adding MM will only allow casuals in which will either 1.Idle 2.quit 3.get squad wiped immediately That whole i got a wife and kids / life argument is void cause even the best of "RAIDERS" have wives and kids yet they still put the time and effort in needed to achieve a successful raid

There is nothing that can't be fixed by those people crying that bungie needs to worry about. All the reasons people are crying about are stupid and they need to grow up. Especially if they have families, can't work it out with five friends or get five friends, how are you responsible enough for a family? Your getting all of the game, just because your not able to actually play it isn't bungies fault or the other people who can, so stop crying and move on!

      • No one is saying you can't play any part of the game. There is just specific ways to start certain parts of the game. Meet people in the game, make friends in the game, enjoy the whole game... Easy...

        • there are so many groups/clans for people to join. heck i bet people could post a message in the forums and find hundreds of people that could raid at the very same time as they were. i get it, it would be so much easier to enter a raid without having to do anything except click a button but come on socialize a little and youll find the right people.i bet there is more than a few groups made up of hard working parents with tons people who love destiny and live in the same timezone.let it fail before we try to fix it at least, the game isnt out yet.i hope #Bungie doesnt have to change anything but the release date im anxious to put my PS4 to good use

          • I don't think they were attempting to alienate anyone. But, I do think they were creating something intentionally difficult in all aspects. Think about it, you raid to get the best gear in the game and it's supposedly, one of/if not the hardest challenges. Requiring you to schedule a time with five of your friends just ups the difficulty. It is meant to be discouraging. The hardest challenges are, usually, the sweetest to complete.

          • I'm glad they aren't willing to water down the raid experience for the casuals. You have to be willing to invest significant time and effort into leveling up a character just to reach the point where you could do a raid. The complaints about "I payed $60, I should be able to play everything" are ridiculous. If I couldn't complete halo on legendary to get special armor sets I wouldn't complain about it and say I payed for the game, I deserve them. If everything was just open to people and required no skill what would be the point? This is coming from a guy that might not ever make it to raids, at least not for a while. I have a young son now and work, not much time to invest in games anymore

How about "I paid 100$ and i want all exotic gear on day one!"? Anyone? I mean, i dont have the time to grind exotics, how i should look in the end without them? I want access to the entire game for f.u.c.k.s sake!

                • I still think matchmaking in raids should be a thing, or at least add a seperate raid mode where matchmaking is a thing, and another one with only your friends.

                    • Someone tells a person they can't access it, then they will want nothing more than to access it. I think it applies. Plus half the people that want in these MM raids are going to rage quit during a MM raid anyway, screwing over the rest of the team till they can be replace with a MM player who will then quit because they are starting in the middle of the raid. Vicious cycle.

                      • ...ok. How would it be unfair to at least have the option to play with less than 5 people. I don't get it. And quite frankly I would be so angry to find that I couldn't play the "just the beginning" portion of the game purely because I couldn't get 5 people together at the same time. You don't have to "Nerf" anything, you don't have to change what the vault of glass is. Just the ability to enter it with any amount of players up to 6. Don't care about dying. Don't care about 1000 MMOs that are really not comparable to Destiny. Don't care. I just want to be able to play every part the game has to offer.

                        • Giving every player the choice is what matters, put aside your need to protect, be superior, your fears of nerfing threads aside and realize that everyone regardless of playing style deserves a shot and most likely the failure of said raid, but I will say this. Though it might be a really small chance, a group of good to really 6 randoms may beat this raid and I think that scares some people. Whatever happens, I think it's about time we stop comparing this single raid to raids from typical and common MMORPG"s. Please don't protect me from the difficulty of raids. I'm a big boy, I'm sure I can be rational and not threaten Bungie if I fail a gazillion times.

                          • why design a "large" portion of the game (that has been advertised as the main point of the game essentially) for a very very "small" minority of the community? It doesn't make sense. What is this bs about "if you cant schedule time, its not for you". Can you imagine if Bungie themselves said this. I payed full price for the game. I get access to all content included with the game, including raids. This OP is completely oblivious and unsympathetic to those that have other responsibilities. These arguments against Matchmaking have no validity. You can add the option with a disclaimer simply stating the following: "This mode will be incredibly hard. Perhaps you can all take a moment to put on mics and plan" or something along those lines. This will NOT prevent people from complaining about the difficulty but they cannot say they were not warned. This would actually cause people to maybe I dont know put on their mics and actually try to communicate. Its like they are gonna put 15 rubix cubes in the raid that you have to solve in 10 minutes. Come on people. Additionally those who do not want to use the mode do not have to. Are you afraid that your "friends" wont want to play with you anymore because a mode was added?
