U shoulda post this on September 8 ... not now
People will forget about it on launch day

-
Then we should bump it when the time comes.
-
or just repost it...
-
It his post, I don't like stealing his hits.
-
Every single post you put on these forums is negative....
-
I doubt people will forget it. It's actually a really good idea, and I'm betting it will help people start organizing and sending out friend requests to like minded Destiny players before the game even comes out. Especially for people that have few gaming friends (or at least few on the system they'll be playing Destiny on), so it'll help structure new links to the community and perhaps allow more people than before to experience all the endgame content that will be offered.
-
We wanted to build up the database and gauge interest in the idea. I for one can't stop thinking about it so we were hoping you guys wouldn't either.
-
the main problem is the e-mail and PSN thing ... random unsecured site.... nah, I'll spam on Bungie.net if I need a party system
-
Just advertise it on the forums no one will forget. Maybe you can add Male/Female to the categories
-
Why would you want to segregate by gender? You saying that females are better/worse than males, to the point they need their own section?
-
Most females are tired of being hit on so bad because they are gaming. See some people just want to game and not deal with extra crap and/or harassment. Which is why there should be matchmaking for Raids.
-
Because placing all females in one places wouldn't stop a male saying he is female to be placed amongst them all... Wouldn't work for that. And no, there shouldn't be raid matchmaking.
-
You will change your mind after getting tons of Raid spam messages. Trust me. You will see. Then you will finally realize then the need for matchmaking should been there all along. Bungie will see they were wrong and caused more trouble than worth and fix it by adding matchmaking.
-
No they won't, they are gonna stand their ground on this one.
-
*Thread and reply bookmarked for future, "I told you so".*
-
Go for it, but when they don't, I'm not going to be immature enough to come back and say it. My satisfaction will be in you knowing I was right.
-
Not at all, what if I want to play with ONLY females???
-
Creepy. Gender has no relevance to the targeted goal of this website.
-
-
Then you find them yourself, segregation of males and females is wrong. Can't find them your own way? You're not looking hard enough.
-
It's not segregating, you can choose to leave the field blank, it's your preference. Being that I live in a city with a population of over 8 million it's very easy to find a girl... Just not one that plays Destiny
-
Unacceptable. The purpose of the guardian finder is not to find you a date. And it's definitely not to enable you to hit on girls that just want to enjoy a game.
-
Never said I was going to nor would I do that anyway. Was just an option to state your gender that's all.

Just not one that plays Destiny
This statement implies otherwise. And regardless of whether or not that was your personal intention, it will be for thousands of creepy bastards. That's why it shouldn't be implemented, at least not the way you're asking for it.
-
That's cool no biggie
-
Was on about on these forums for a start. And 90% of people fill in all gross in an application, so it's a generic segregation.
