How would you feel about "holiday events" in Destiny?
I remember playing Runescape (sue me) back in the day, and they always had holiday events that would last for a certain amount of time. How would you feel about things such as santa hats, jack o lantern heads, scarves, even a decorated tower?

Hahhaa runescape back in the day was BADASS. I used to love walking around in my sexy ass blue armor with my little red sword fishing for salmon. Party hats!! Those events were awesome. Good ole days

Yes, because I think it would be a great plug in of surviving bits of culture from old earth. Or not even getting that deep it can just be random fun stuff like the soccer ball in the tower. As everyone knows the speckled infidel is nothing before the great Purple Ball.

Yeah runescape *Internet Hi-5* I want to see a Christmas (yes CHRISTmas) tree in the tower. It would have tons of presents under it, which could only be opened if you go to the tower on Christmas Day. These presents would be special armor pieces that make your guardian look like an elf/reindeer/Santa.

Having holidays is a way for people to relax and remember the ages before the Traveler. We are still on earth and there are still earthlings so they would carry on traditions. On the "political" side, people who say no usually say that it's disrespectful for other cultures. It's an American made game. American holidays. Nuff said bought that. Bungie could brainstorm holidays similar to ours that they could create. So it's not Christmas but it's similar to Christmas so as to not disrespect other cultures if they feel they would be. i.e- instead of calling it Christmas, call it "The Light Day" something referencing the Traveler. Since he gave us stuff like in Christmas.

4 RepliesI say no way! These events ruined many games for me. Some of you say it's fun but not for me, most of these "events" involve very stupid quests that are not even relevant to the game genre it's in and all you get for running round like a tit is fireworks - do nothing Bunny ears- do nothing and why would you want them. Epic/legendary jako lantern - does nothing. If people (children) really wan this crap in the game then let's give it to them as a £4.99 dlc at each holiday time of the year NOT make everyone suffer for the sake on those few.

Yes so the time around Halloween the sky should be red with orange leaves blowing in the wind and there should exclusive weapons like a pumpkin rocket launcher, or a assault rifle called doom that shoot black bullets and is colored black and red it would be such a cool thing to add.

1 ReplyYES!! Absolutely, but if you get items I would prefer them be cosmetic only, NOT really high stat weapons/armor. Just to make it more fair for those who miss, because lets be perfectly honest, you won't remember to log on every event and you would miss out on something really good that others would wreck you with.

Yes. Holiday events are a backbone of online games. It breaks the monotony and adds some humor here n there. Imagine dreegs running around and looking like elves or engrams looking like Easter eggs for a week. Special event bosses like krampus or hive Santa
