Don't you dare try to say "All of the Above!" (even though I know some of you will). Tell us which archetype you think best defines you.
This is not an official UR study. It's just me being curious and stuff.

Explorer, Dreamer, Performer

Ex Player - Moved on to other games after getting screwed over by most of the patches, and serious lack of rewards.
-
Hmm not really sure some of these are "types" of players.
-
I'd say I'm a very close tie between partner, dreamer and explorer. If I had to say which one fits me more... I couldn't tell you, idk which one myself tbh
-
Deej please make it so we can get radiant shards/energy from public events, daily, etc.

Funny, I pushed someone off a ledge today. But that's because he was AFK while myself and another Guardian fought Phogoth. He literally got to his little spot before the fight started, after we had cleared out all the enemies around Phogoth, and went AFK. So I jumped up to where he was and nudged him off the ledge. He never did respawn back even after we had beaten it.

Why even have explorer as an option? There is no exploration lmfao...
-
Damn this thread is old. I remember answering this 4 months ago.

None, really, I wish there was a "collector" choice. Collecting the guns/gear in the game satisfies me the most.

Warrior. Its all about flexxin.

Edited by Angel_Soren: 12/19/2014 7:29:57 AMI like to see myself more as a Freelancer. I go around randomly teaming with strangers to help accomplish a common goal. Sometimes I befriend them, sometimes I go my separate ways. However, I'm gonna choose Explorer cause I couldn't careless about competitions, story, fellowship, parties, or bullying. Also is this survey the foundation for upcoming updates or possibly the cornerstone for Destiny 2. If so, that's the greatest way to get player feedback and good job listening to your consumers.

Edited by MeOw Bot: 12/16/2014 5:48:53 PMJerk! I'm a cold hearted bitch! So I've been told. lol But majority of ppl are assholes and if you can't beat them, may as well... But in a sense I am a little bit of all the above.

I love shoulder charge. Guy I was with hit his jump ability to save him after I shoulder charged him and he went 20m to the edge.:)

All of the above?

65% primarily classify themselves as PVE type players (explorer + performer + dreamer). So why so much crucible love and no PvE love? I'll divert to my original comment. This question would probably be better suited as a survey question that must be answered before playing. It's one question. Can't hurt to throw it up on the screen of everyone that owns the game. #VilfredoPareto

The skilled player that never gets any luck.
-
Bummed about the story line... I love a deep narrative that has you grinding just to get to the next cutscenes to find out more to the story... Haven't seen that since Darksiders
-
DeeJ, can you guys implement polls for official research into the loading screens in game? Why not ask this in game and get a couple million data points? Run a Pareto chart and see if the 80/20 rule applies. I'd love to see the results. There may be too much bias here for it to be meaningful. (despite your comment about own interests).

I want an awesome mysterious world to explore and a great story that makes that exploration feel validated. Destiny has the potential to do both that I feel.
-
Explorer

Performer

Dreamer
haha, you are such a funny one.. really funny.. as if you could do something like this in Destiny.. Haha..

Old Russia on earth was my favorite place for the longest time just because of all the nooks and crannies you could explore on patrol. I loved running into areas I wasn't strong enough for yet and testing my skills in those areas. They were like hidden secrets. Give me places like that and a good reason to replay areas (not grind a reason to do it over again) and I'm hooked. I played through borderlands and mass effect multiple times because different classes made such a big change on the experience. It was like rediscovering the game.

None of them would define what i am looking for as a gamer, and i dont particularily see me as a Player yet
-
On meth or off? When I've smoked I just get on to disassemble and reassemble my weapon, 2000+ hours, this game has great replay value

Liberator I will crush the darkness and make the light prevail

Edited by blueydwlf: 12/16/2014 6:49:53 PMI love exploring vast new areas. I wish there were more buildings and structures to enter and explore, with interesting things and loot to find off the beaten path. Not just small one room buildings but large high rise towers and facilities with lots of corridors and rooms to snoop through. I mean there have to be more ruined urban areas on the planets we visit to explore as well as the potential for ancient alien ruins and whatnot. Hell, even more large dense rainforest like areas on planets like Venus. Also as has been mentioned above, I'd like to see a lot of the invisible walls come down and the current in game areas expanded upon.
