i dont care either way, but i do see a solution that would make everyone happy. Make Normal mode for raids just a touch easier than it is now. Allow for randomized matchmaking, and adjust the difficulty so that even a somewhat uncoordinated group can still make their way through using sheer force of will. It will be tough, likely the toughest activity in the game, but it will still at least be possible to attempt, rather than locked away unless you wrangle five friends in real life or via outside forums. leave Hard mode locked for these hardcore clan/friend groups. Make it as insanely tough as you want, and have those groups struggle and plan and strategize in order to make it through. Shower them with more loot at the end so it’s still worth the attempt, just allow all players to at least experience the instances, even if they’re not as dedicated to the cause as you would like them to be.i see that as a win win for everyone

  • In the future I could see destiny migrating that way. We have to remember destiny will change and change some more over time. It to me is a slippery slope. How easy do you make the normal raid? How much do you scale the gear? Do you get the same rewards the harder raid gets but with less frequency? Or do you not get the chance for the high level gear in the normal mode. I still think many people only read raid=best gear and are mad they can't click a button to get the best gear. If a person truly only wishes to experience the content then I ask what is the need for 2 raids? It may not be the best system in the world but if someone really needs to raid then hit up the forums. Maybe a clan will have a spot opening. Maybe there will be a looking for group forum. I don't know. All I know is if a person wants to just experience the content there are tools in place to make that happen. It may not be the most convenient thing in the world but possible. We then need to define experience the content. Does that mean you have to complete it? Or is getting in there and attempting it good enough?

oh i plan on hitting the forums and in game to find people, im sure by time people get that far in the game where that can even attempt the raid, they will have people to do it with. i have no problem with that at all..i was just basically spit-balling off the top of my head for a solution. but people do have a point with the whole 5 friends thing..im an older gamer, between real life and work, i dont have nearly as much time to game as i did when i was much younger, so finding 5 friends to do it with and able to put aside the time to even do it is a chore in itself, so i do see that side of the argument, but i see people making a lot of friends throughout the course of the game as well.

  • I do appreciate the feedback. For me personally I think the best solution for this is to make more in game tools for people to get together. How to implement the best solution to that I don't know. I do think it would speed up the process or at least make it a lot more convenient for many people. Lol but that's just my idea. They could easily go with something more along your idea as well.
