Please take this under consideration...
I completely understand why people and even devs of Destiny don't want matchmaking for raids; its hard to do without any communication. People don't want MM for this because they don't want randoms in their group. Please take a minute to think about this: If you've got the time to get your friends online, then by ALL means go ahead, dont cockblock those who want the matchmaking.... Let them struggle.... You want to make groups for yourself and your benifits, then DO IT!! Nobody is saying no, matchmaking is the OPTION!! Do you guys know what that means? OPTION?

which means you can choose between making a team for yourself and going with randoms. NOBODY IS FORCING YOU TO GO WITH RANDOMS!!!

That was my reason for not wanting it but now I just don't really care I won't use it and as long as it won't effect my game (like enough people complain and then the raids get shorter and easier) then I don't care what other players do. Maybe I was alone in that being my reasoning it's a selfish reason but that's how I felt before but in a way I feel like if they had it in the game that people would try it and realize on their own that MM will not work 75% of the time. Only time will tell Edit... Wow I'm dumb the dude below me said the same thing. Sorry everyone... =/

I understand and 100% percent agree, but my only worry is, some of the more whinny people calling for MM right now, are going to be the same people calling for a nerf on the raid when they can't beat it with randos the first few times. I don't want a raid nerfed because people aren't willing to take time to build teams and actually do some teamwork. That being said bring on MM I'd like to have the chance to drop in with some randos and see what we can do. More of a challenge IMO.

Try Payday 2 high lvl raids. The entire game was based around 4 player difficulty balance, it had MM and it was hard. Most of the Raids were designed around 4 players. Each class had a specialty and one could MM with complete randoms of any lvl and yet it still worked perfectly well, unless you were with a bunch of new people doing one of the hardest. (given that Destiny is locked at lvl 25 this just isn't going to happen) Without a good team, for the big payday robberies, you'd fail and fail hard. Yet, with high lvl players the fact you had no idea who they were could be mitigated by picking up a mic and having a chat for a few minutes before the game started to plan how you'd hit the vault and who'd do what. I don't see why people have elevated raids to such a ridiculous lvl where unless we're ready to plan the siege of Carthage, we're just not ready or in it to win.

Yeah, I went off on a bit of a tangent. But, I agree with you. There's no reason why MM shouldn't be an option for people like me who just don't have the time to organise days in advance with friends, have work, have families, girlfriends, in different time zones etc It's just a pointless headache, and people say "use the forums" ignoring the fact it's simply a cack handed way of MM manually anyway, with the same potential results that the team of randoms you picked up will be bad and you fail as well. (and that's unlikely as raid content is lvl locked until lvl 25+ so only vets. are going to be running raid anyway)
