•
they're much more efficient killing machines than daleks
Umm... the Daleks almost wiped out the Time Lords, one of the most powerful and ancient races in the universe with weapons beyond anything that appears in Destiny.

 • The Darkness nearly destroyed all of mankind/exos perhaps in our sun's solar system. PLUS destroyed/mortally wounded/whatever's up with The Traveler. And It probably didn't do it alone.

 • So? Looking at what we've seen from Destiny, humanity didn't look to be anywhere near as advanced as the Time Lords. Human lifespan tripled to be almost 300 years, meanwhile Time Lords can live for thousands. Humans have pulse rifles, Time Lords have de-mat guns which can remove anything they hit from time and space. Humans have weak shielding, Time Lords have Transduction Barriers which act as quantum force fields and have almost never been breached. Time Lords have powers of stellar manipulation, they created black holes. The Hand of Omega could make entire stars go supernova in mere seconds. Time Lords built defensive arrays the size of entire solar systems, their weaponry advanced so far that the Moment (a weapon that can wipe out an entire galaxy) developed a consciousness. The Daleks managed to match the Time Lords' technological prowess and almost wipe them out, along with numerous other species in the universe. Doctor Who is literally one of the most OP sci-fi universes out there, from what we've seen and heard about Destiny and the 'golden age', it cannot begin to hold a candle to that.

 • Except the daleks can't time travel and they need ships to travel through space.

 • Er... have we been watching the same show? Daleks have several means of time travel - emergency temporal shift sent the Cult of Skaro from modern-day England to 1930s New York, Dalek Caan also managed to break through the Time Lock back into the Time War and saved Davros. Their most frequent method of time travel is through Time Corridors which they've been using in the show for decades - first seen in the patrick troughton story Evil of the Daleks, and most recently mentioned in Victory of the Daleks when the Paradigm Daleks leave Earth to recreate their species. And yes, individual Daleks are capable of independent space flight - we've seen this numerous times as well. Parting of the Ways has a gratuitously long shot of thousands upon thousands of Daleks in space leaving their ships to invade Satellite 5. The Daleks from the Crucible in Series 4 also fly down to Earth... So yes, the Daleks are perfectly capable of time travel and do not need ships to fly through space.

 • I agree with all the facts you have stated. but the question is why haven't they been able to kill him?

 • The Doctor? Well... because he's the main character of the show, and so their strength is depicted by them killing others. The Daleks have been the cause of a few of the Doctor's regenerations though - indirectly with Nine where he had to take the Time Vortex out of Rose's head after she wiped out the Emperor and his Daleks, Ten was partially hit by a Dalek's projected energy beam which caused him to use up a regeneration, and the Daleks would have killed Eleven at Trenzalore if Clara hadn't got the Time Lords to intervene and provide the Doctor with a new cycle of regenerations. Likewise, the Dalek Prime Minister made a few comments to Eleven about why the Daleks have never been able to kill him.
Prime Minister: What do you know of the Dalek Asylum? The Doctor: According to legend you have a dumping ground. A planet where you lock up all the Daleks that go wrong. The battle-scarred, the insane, the ones even you can't control. Which never made any sense to me. Prime Minister: Why not? The Doctor: Because you'd just kill them. Prime Minister: It is offensive to us to extinguish such divine hatred. The Doctor: Offensive? Prime Minister: Does it surprise you to know that Daleks have a concept of beauty? The Doctor: I thought you'd run out of ways to make me sick. But hello again. You think hatred is beautiful? Prime Minister: Perhaps that is why we have never been able to kill you.
• I have no doubt that they'll be one of the more powerful foes in Destiny, their physics-defying architecture on Venus looks particularly interesting and I'm looking forward to learning more about them. They may well end up being the Dalek equivalent of Destiny.
