It's all linked to your respective online account(XBL or PSN). It will follow you across generations as long as you use the same account.

Edited by Straitshot47: 8/11/2014 4:04:20 PMeveryone knows this. But are the DLC's linked to the account or console? If I buy DLC for one system, it will work on the rest as long as I use the same account right?

The safest assumption would be no. The only reason character saves go cross gen is because Bungie has direct control over save data. When it comes to dlc It's up to Microsoft and Sony to keep track of who owns what dlc on which platform. That's probably why Bungie hasn't said anything on the subject, it's out of their hands.

It still falls on Bungie to find an answer though.

Edited by washboat: 8/11/2014 4:27:57 PMThere's not much Bungie can do about system limitations on Microsoft's and Sony's side. With that said, I would be surprised if it wasn't possible. Maybe Activision figures it would make more money by not making DLC transferable.

Other game DLCs are console locked, correct? I believe only your character and any non-DLC data will transfer. You'll probably need the DLC on the other console if you want to jump with it.

No one knows bro, and it's frustrating because I will not buy this game until I know how the DLc's work.

I'm in the same situation bro
