It would be cool if there was cross platform, but unfortunately there won't be.

Oh. Hopefully they reconsider. It could help with Raid too! Thx for replying.

I read somewhere that cross platform wouldn't be a thing because of the advantage current gen players would have over last gen players on the crucible. It wouldn't be a problem with PVE though so if they ever did include it, PVE only would be fine.

Ping is the only advantage in multiplayer that I'm aware of not hardware, looking better doesn't mean it runs faster. Besides that the network should be the same in the case of XBL or PSN. So the only real issue I could see would be preloading which is generally not the case. Also when I hear cross platform I think of xbox-playstation-PC but idk I might just be old and outdated

Edited by somewhatsavage: 8/1/2014 6:14:38 AMIf new hardware never superseded old hardware we wouldn't have new hardware. We couldn't play destiny on an original xbox or ps1 simply because of hardware. They would not be able to keep up with the newer generation even with the same exact ping.

Render distance could be an issue as well, as both PS4 and XB1 can render farther out.

Hopefully they include it for at least PVE. Thx.
