I think an economy for resources such as Glimmer, Spinmetal, Ether Seeds, Weapon Parts, etc. would be neat. Allowing players to trade consumables items would be a cool alternative to weapon trading.

That could be interesting. Trading of general goods...nice. I would exclude glimmer from the list as it's the currency of the game and has it's own economy to fulfill.
